Comments on the Nebraska Training Program

I think I asked this question in the wrong forum the first time so here it goes. First, have any of you guys used the Nebraska weight training program and if so what did you think? I have trained with explosive movements for awhile and would like to try something new.

the nebraska program.. like many other athletic programs, are designed for athltes that r using drugs..hence u are using major muslce groups 4 times per week, and have spirting and xplosives monday\thursday and agilities on tuesday\friday.

when u r in the base phase and it is 10 reps as shown on that web site..it is suppostdo be for clean deadlifts.

in the book wich is the real program, only in the first 4 weeks are u at 10 reps for anything and even during this phase explosive lifts are 5 reps.

I could make a killing from an investment in Alleve if I trained like that. My body would just fall apart!!!!!

It looks like a basic football training routine. Very similar to the way I used to train when I played. The only thing I don't like is doing a movement like a powerclean for 10+ reps, not a good idea.

I've personally used the Nebraska Strength and Conditioning program two summers ago.

I was a little disappointed with the monotonous routine designed by my college strength and conditioning program. I went to huskerpower.com and ordered their book.

Its probably the best strength book I've ever read. It completely lays out the program in ever detail from agility, flexibility, speed, strength and even nutrition.

I went back to school in the best shape of my life. All my core lifts improved as well as my athletic performance.
