colon cleanse. Can you really lose 10-20 lbs ?

I have heard good things about the ultimate cleanse, I dont know which one you have.
I bought the one on the right in that pic she posted and it did NOTHING for me. But I have no luck with any pill cleanse options. I will take the plunge & get the hydrotheraphy one of these days.

The problem with traditional "colon cleansers" is they are really just laxatives... (fiber, psyllium, etc)

If you want something that is really going to clean your whole track, top to bottom, try http://www.oxypowder.com/oxypowder/

This isn't a one night remedy; it's a 5-7 days complete flush of your system. I didn't leave the house for that week just to ensure that I was near a toilet and I was in a comfortable environment.

I did this last summer followed by a traditional liver flush (holistic) and let me tell you, it was incredible... I saw stuff coming out (besides the stones from the liver) that I had not eaten in years that were partially undigested or stuck way up in there (corn, fries, etc.)... If you've eaten junk during your life, hell even if you haven't I would recommend this to everyone just to make sure. Most people have compacted fecal matter along their track that just builds over the years, even if you do eat a high fiber diet.

I’ve always eaten pretty well my whole life and when I was younger I used to occasionally indulge in junk every now and then but now I’m pretty good. :)

I ran this a few yrs ago (when I worked out of my house & never more than 10 ft from the bathroom....) Cleans EVERYTHING out. You can feel it "oxydizing", and then walk very quickly & very carefully for the facilities. And try not to scare the cat. :eek2:

If you've never done a colon cleanse in your life, you probably have a lot of shit (literally) impacted in your colon. Its not a bad thing to clean it out. However its probably not a good thing to do often either. That stuff has got to be stripping out stuff that is good to have in your colon as well. I also ran the Colon Cleanse powder (whatever is available from GNC) - I didn't find the tabs to be very useful and the powder tastes like saw dust - but if you can on a regular schedule & near a bathroom for 10 days, you can run it.

The colonic - yea that will probably clean you out better.

But let's also think about when you eat a "clean" diet - its also generally very restricted. I do a 1-2 week detox diet between my competitions because I've gone at least 4 months on a high protein diet w/ none of the foods that provide good enzymes to help shuttle out the waste & byproducts of general body functions - e.g. free-radicals, etc. Everything in a normal (non-processed) food diet has a purpose in our body's functions. But esp if you are eating a very limited diet, you can probably expect things to need some cleaning out simply because the normal cleaning stuff is not part of your diet. I look at it like when you don't clean out the filter in your (older) car. Or change the oil.

the super & parastroy

The oxypowder was second on my list, maybe I'll do that one next year; might as well use what I've already bought.

It's funny this thread came up, and I guess alittle embassassing for me to talk about, but since it seems nobody else here has tried it, I'll share my experience.

I've been cutting recently getting ready for a show, before that was bulking eating like 3000 cals, 250g of protein. Then switched to a high protein, and fat diet, which basicly was meat and nuts and some green veggies. Anyhow the result of that was me feeling "blocked" up when I began my cutting, I've been struggling to get my weight down, although my body is getting leaner, veins are starting to show, yet stomach is always bloated, basicly where I'm holding most of my extra weight, and it's most uncomfortable to always feel like you have to go to the bathroom yet it's not coming out, I've been in tears from this feeling.

Anyway I tried adding in a fiber supplement, which worked abit, but then I felt blocked up again, I couldn't take this anymore, so I called around to get an appointent for a colon hydrotherapy. I actually went last night.

The lady was very gentle, and she knew right away when she began that I was blocked, I didn't tell her my reasoning for coming. But she knew because I wasn't releasing right away, I was clogged up prety bad, at first she said no more Mcdonlad's for you, and I started to laugh and said I haven't eaten McDonlad's in years, I don't eat that junk. Then she was like ok, hmmmm you eat alot of beef and meat? So I was like yes, she said she knew, and she kept saying my goodness you are very blocked. I could see the stuff that was coming out which goes through a machine, and well it's pretty friggin nasty, I thought I was going to be sick just looking at it.

Anyway because I have alot of crap in my little body, she told me I would have to come a total of 3 times, she kept telling me that it was very important that I came when I did, and that I was very toxic which she could see from my skin.

The process is alittle uncomfortable, because at times she fills you up with as much water as she can until you can't take it anymore, which cramps up your tummy, and makes you look pregnant, and she massages your tummy, well pushes on your tummy trying to get your intestines to let it out.

I feel alittle sick to my stomach today, but I feel better if that makes sense, my tummy also looks flatter.

I have to go back on Friday. Hope this helps someone cause it was uncomfortable for me to talk about.

Hi Miss 24K
I had a similar problem, what helped me was drinking a full 1.5 liter bottle of water still in bed..NO GETTING UP...until you finish it, I would be in the rest room before in 15 minutes tops. Hope it helps and hope you feel better.

Yes MM it was a colonic, I was using a product called Bio Flo 1& 2 from actumus (canadian company), but I think that only made the problem worse, which would make sense, if I have a blockage somewhere adding fiber that swells may just make it worse if it doesn't come out.

Cyrex yes I probably am more fit than the lady, but that doesn't mean I'm necessarily healthier, I didn't need her or anyone else to tell me I'm blocked up somewhere I can feel it, think about it for a second, I eat 5 times a day, and take those products twice a day, I should be going more than once a day without a struggle, and without the feeling of still having to go but nothing coming out.

Something just isn't right here and I know it. What the woman was talking about when she said that she could tell I'm "toxic" by my skin is that, I have some break outs on my face and arms.

I know the cause of this problem, and again it makes sense when it's thought about for a minute, and it was from a type of diet I was doing, which by the way I will never do again, for more than 1 reason.

Afgrl, it was $60 1 session is supposed to be about 45 minutes, but she worked with me for like an hour and half, she had to stop often massage my tummy, she joked that I should just sleep at the clinic to get all the crap out, lol. Also there's nothing about me being able to do 1 of those "fasts" that you mentioned, I'll be competing in 8 weeks.

before seeing your posts i was going to say that i would be the test dummy if someone can do the leg work and find a location that does these in the miami beach area. from your profile it looks like you are from miami beach?!?!!? did you have yours done in this area and if so will you please refer me to the place that you had it done (pm me if that is better for you)? i have been thinking about one of these for a while now. when i go and get one i promise to post my results! :qt:
