CNN.com has pics of Sadaams sons

Completely agree!!

It is disgusting to see so many people in this thread taking delight in these "trophy figures". Absolutely inhumane. Those two are dead, so be it. I don't care how cruel the Hussein bros were, it is sickening to see such so called "civilized" people taking pleasure in images of their lifeless bodies.

Those pics should be taken down.

Only the narrow minded are taking pleasure in the whole deal. If you think of it that way you are misinformed. Almost no one in this thread has taken much pleasure in it.

That part of the world speaks the language of force. They do not speak democracy, nor diplomacy, but force: life, bloodshed, death.

For 20 years they ruled with that language of force. Now, the message is delivered in in their native language that they are no longer ruling.

No one except the mentally small are taking pleasure in it. It is about doing what MUST be done.

America, Canada, civilized Europe etc., do not speak the language of force in our own governments. We get thigns done by democracy, consensus and compromise.

We don't know of despotism and tyranny. So now, when we have to resort to that, our own populations call it disgusting. It is disgusting, in our context.

This is what Iraq has dealt with for 20 years. WE are ending it.

Seeing their dead bodies is disturbing, but it is necessary. These scumbags deserved to die. Some of the stories about their deeds make me wonder if they were even human. The Middle East only respects force... Bush is using force to gain respect.

Since 9-11 how many major terrorist acts have occurred? Not many that I can remember. Bush's administration (though hated by many) has probably saved far more American lives than have been lost in these military actions. I think the whole Middle East is quaking in their boots because they realize that Bush seemingly doesn't give a fuck. Another terrorist act of the magnitude of 9-11 and who knows what the crazy bastard will do... Benjamin Netanyahu made an interesting statement in a documentary I just watched where he said that "A real leader does what is right, even if it means he may lose his power." I give Bush credit on this... what he is doing is not popular on the whole and he doesn't seem to be one who watches daily opinion polls. Unlike Clinton who allowed Osama to "OWN" him over and over and would rather look the other way than create a stink... the terrorists undoubtedly had no respect for his spineless stance.

Look at Israel, they dealt with Arafat and his bullshit for so long... They put a hardass like Sharon in office and now they are closer than I can remember in building some kind of Peace agreeement.

I am not saying Bush is the greatest president ever, but one has to think how many acts of terrorism have been averted because of his efforts and the efforts of the CIA. We will never know... Because we only hear about the failures.

I am sure many will flame me for saying these things, but it is just my opinion. If anyone wants to call me an idiot... do so.. and then lucidly explain your position...

Thank You.

Dismiss? You have me pegged wrong!

As a MOTHER I would NOT want to see a picture of MY DEAD child ON ANY website. No matter how rotten those two were...They have a mother who loves them!

I said the same thing when they showed those awlful pictures of our dead soldiers. It's sick not matter how you slice it!

as long as your son doesnt maim, rape, dismember, and kill thousands of people and hold an entire country and its citizens hostage, you will have nothing to worry about.

why was it so bad for Iraqi TV to show our dead soldiers and yet our new service is orgasming over the chance to get this up.

I completely agree...I was watching CNN over lunch, and this was the first thing I thought.

Apparently it's okay because we're the "good guys".

they arent supposed to show dead soldiers on tv, because they dont want the next of kin to find out that way.

trying to draw and equivalence between some 20 year old american soldier doing his job and one of the sick, murderous psychopath hussen brothers is ridiculous.

I'm not drawing attempting to compare the lives of the men...that's not my point.

My point is that the action of publishing the photos is offensive, regardless of who it is.

What, we need to sink to the level of the Iraqi media?

we needed to release them to prove to the iraqi people, who were held captive, raped, and murdered by these people for years, that they are never coming back.

It's the need I question....the American media certainly didn't need to air the photos.

At the same time, the Iraqi people certainly don't seem bothered by it....it just seems vile to me.

Really... that is the only reason they were shown and many Iraqis still do not believe it. The US forces thought it would help to quell some of the rebels that were still fighting in hopes of return of these scumbags to power.

Fuck were they stupid! All they had to do was cooperate or go into exile and enjoy their billions! By the way Saddam leaked where they were hiding to help cover his tracs! Even sacrificing his sons was easy for him to survive! And that is the real deal! If it gets me fired so be it! I'm tired of the bullshit! Let the people know the truth for once even if it is not what is best for them!
