Clean and Jerk workout????

Hi, i was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on increasing my clean max. I am 17, and can clean and jerk about 285. I already do cleans, and clean pulls...any other tips to increase max? Thanks in advance.

Thats pretty damn good for a 17 year old (unless you were born in the former USSR)

Where do you have the most problem in your lift? what do you think is stopping you from getting a higher weight?

what are training conditions (who do you train with, how often do you train? what movements do you already do?)
 
hang cleans, squat cleans, front squats, back squats, push jerks from the rack, split jerks from the rack, power shrugs, shrugs, upright rows, plyo work, stretching
 
if you don't already then learn to drop and rack the weight properly or you will never clean much more than you do now...work on front squats and drop squats and for the pull work heavy stiff arm shrug pulls from the floor
 
yea, i squat clean. I maxed out on back squats at the end of summer, and got 550 in the bucket. When i do front squat, i can do about 295 on my last set, and thats pretty tough, but then again, i barely do those. In our football workout we do only backsquats, so i can only sparingly do front squats. I work out with my best friend, hes a senior. I have yet to see someone in HS clean and jerk more than him, i saw him c&j 365 at a meet a couple weeks back, the state record is 375, so he has a chance to break it. I work out 4 days a week, with a break on wednesday.

my god superbeast........Nice numbers my man! i'm 18 and hang cleaning 265, I want 300 BAD, but just doint know how to go about it, sucks :( haha oh well :)
 
front squats will help your clean recovery. You must do them. they will also help your back squat, and your leg strength for pulls.
