Classic bodybuilder abs VS. new school abs

Hey all,
I was just wondering what kind of stomach/abs area, you think looks better.
For example: Frank Zanes' or Jay Cutlers?
I really think that old school look is awesome! But how did they create that kind of look?

Tough to beat ZANES abs. Frank had ab training/dieting nailed to a science.

i agree with the classic that vacuum look was the signature and classic bodybuilders took into account symmetry which i believe does not have any stature in the present body building and to prove my point how did frank zane become mr olympia while weighing only 175lbs and he looked good well proportioned cut up I think they should put more emphasis on proportions and symmetry then just bulking.

Classic look. And it's accomplished by diet less drugs and emphasis in vacuum poses and ab emphasis. I remember reading Arnold did 5 minutes of roman chairs before every workout

The best example of a more modem guy getting jacked but keeping a tiny waist and no gross gut is Kevin Levrone. IMO he had the best physique of all time. Not the absolute biggest like Ronnie, but the best looking build and proportions ever.

Classic every time!!! Not up for the modern look at all.......seems to be more about size and sheer mass than symmetry and aesthetics......just my opinion
