take about 20mg-30mg about 4-6 hrs before hand, takes awhile to kick in.

The old tabs could be taken as little as 20 minutes before. But the liquid versions I have tried take hours to give any effect...(not very good for that lucky unexpected lay). For me the tabs worked great at ~30 mg, the liquid I need atleast 40-60 mg.
