stilleto said:I went to one recently for a stiff/sore neck that wouldn't go away. He did the electro stim and massage and gave me an adjustment. I definately walked out feeling better and felt great the next day.

I was in a car accident a few years back (hit and run) and it messed me up pretty bad. I have to go every few weeks now but I was there 3x a week in the beginning. I will be going to one for the rest of my life
Faizakafez said:i go twice a week
once for my back and once for my knee..
they get expensive if you go every week i pay 60 bucks a session. But its really depends on you.
Sometimes if im good with my stretching and icing down the inflamation and stuff i dont really need to go. but others day like yesterday i totatlly locked up and had to go.
blueta2 said:Fez, 60$ a session?! That is a rip. Most charge $35. My sis's guy is downtown TO and she is paying $35.
Faizakafez said:wtf... mines art
active realse therapy i think its the same shit they adjust my back etc...
can u pm the addy?

Greatest single invention EVER. Most (if not all) ART certified docs are chiro's. But ART specifically is not an "adjust my back" kinda practice. ART single handedly helped me get over an RC partial tear. Hurts like a bitch (ART mostly involved deep tissue work with some odd extremity stretching), but is WELL worth it.
Chiro's are alright, but you should probably find out what specifically is ailing you and then figure out the proper corrective path.
Faizakafez said:its my back i have a disk issue in it so thats what i do its art for like 20 minues they press, stretching and stuff its pretty decent
KillahBee said:I had a microdiscectomy in Sept, so I started going to an ART dude a couple months ago again. LOTS of work on the hips, glutes and hammies.
Faizakafez said:yea man, my leg is shot its autrophied soo hard and the hammy is soo tight its fucked, how much are you payin a session?

sacto said:I have been going once a week for probably 5 years now. I added 30 minutes of deep tissue in back, neck and shoulders a couple of years ago. Runs me about $39 bucks a week because I pay a year in advance. Helps greatly for my lower back, couple of worn down disks, shoulder and neck injuries of the past that seem to hurt now that I am getting older.
Not all Chiro's are the same though. Some are really into the whole special medicine kind of thing and think doctors are quacks. Not for me. Found a guy that is legit and does the trick. To each his/her own though.
here.blueta2 said:Awesome....I have the worst neck issue. Marc will usually massage it for me (he's great at it) but I need a good cracking
Thanks![]()
blueta2 said:that feels good in more ways that one ;-)
musclemom said:A good chiro can do wonders, a bad one can fuck you up for life, just like any other bad doctor.
The best results I've had are sticking with weight training, getting a TempurPedic bed, and seeing my chiro once every three weeks to a month.
I have degenerative discs throughout my whole back in addition to several congenital spinal "malformations."
I also have a lot of hope for getting benefits from Tai Chi (if I ever learn how to walk *sigh*)
Good recommendations are the key with a chiropractor, seriously. If you have several people saying they were happy with him, then you can feel pretty confident.blueta2 said:That's what I'm worried about, getting a bad one. Like he cracks me and I lost all feeling in my legs or something.
But the name of the guy I got looks good. Lots of good ref's.
I'm having trouble lifting weights lately b/c of the lupus. I've been to the gym like 4 times in the past month. So bad!
I need to force myself. I'm still swimming and walking though.

How much did you have to pay him?PICK3 said:I just got my cawk adjusted.
