The 999 isn't. There are some minor mods and it's mostly aesthetics.

The 'S' series is still available in the US.

A question about those really expensive bikes.....do they only come in boy configuration? Does the euro market not make bikes in different configurations like in America? Or is it that the only buyers for those ultra expensive bikes are guys so those are the only ones you ever see?

Euro market distributes in the US.

The only drawback for girls and sport bikes, is the seat height typically sits around 31-32 inches. So your average girl is tip-toe's when the bike is stopped.

But you can have the dealer lower the bike for you. The 'Busa comes in less Male colors. Black and Yellow Ducati's (Itallian bikes) are popular choices for women.

Whoa....I know that's too high for me. I'm 5'6" and a disportionate amount of my height is in my torso. My bf and I have matching bikes from Walmart and mine is either 26" or 28", I cant remember which.

Here in metro Atlanta we have a 40 mile long paved trail called the Silver Comet Trail that was converted from an old railroad about 6 years ago. We see those boys on those cool euro bikes all the time. We were hoping maybe we could find a pair used, but every one we've called about was boy configuration. But I guess if the lowest height is what you guoted that lets me out since I know we'd have to buy used. We're broke ass college students.

The ducati 600S has a 28 inch seat height. And the bike will allow for another 1.5 inch drop before performance is hampered.

It's also a very girl-centric bike.

The Honda Intercepter can be lowered to 26 inches as well. But doesn't look anywhere nearly as sexy as the ducati.
