yeah im a big fan of the stair master early am, i actually feel more of a burn doing that for 30min than on my leg routines.

Out of curiousity, why would you do that? Your body is in a catabolic stage so it seems counterproductive to keeping lean muscle.

The body burns the most fat that way. I don't feel like I'm catabolic @ that time because I usually wake up a couple time in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and grab a handful of almonds.

My sister is a trainer, she points me in the right direction

In prep I go first thing in the am and in the evening. Now just right after training for a little while.

I used to love the stairmaster and treadmill till i blew my knee out :( now its swimming bike and hiit. My knee ever gets better its back on the stair master a few times a week thats the best hands down imo

I mix it up alot. Sometimes a fast walk on inclined treadmill, sometimes really tough HIT style intervals, Circuit training class, straight jogging or road running.

Right now I'm doing HIIT on a treadmill. I prefer the elliptical most of the time though. Running is crap for my knees! I'll mix it up though throughout the year. Basically I get bored and try something else.

I bike to my workout gym, which is 8 miles, them i bike home after my workout, which is another 8 miles. so i think 16 miles of biking a day is good enough! Do you agree? or is it overdoing it!?!

Mostly cycling, outdoor cycling not stationary bike. And whatever sport Im doing in P.E at school, when Im a bit more cut up Ill do swimming as my main cardio though.

I used to do the eliptical for 30 to 40 minutes whenever I went to the gym but for the last 7 weeks I've been doing the 5x5 with absolutely no cardio and I feel 100x's better. My waist is going down and I look a lot better with a shirt tucked in. As long as I can get away with no cardio, I'm there. I hate cardio. I get real bored.

Latley I've been riding a bike for 20-30 minutes 3 x week. Its cool cause it gives me a great cardio workout that doesnt get in the way of my weight training or other execise... If I run its almost like I have to give up lifts for my legs. It beats my knees and ankles up to. I love to swim as well though. Its what I'm good at. I placed 1st in free and butterfly 2nd in breast and back for socal finals when I was a kid with only summer training. It was dumb of me to quit. But I'll choose swimming if I'm gonna race someone even though I'm not in swim shape.

To many to list. I run hiking trials, jump rope, run and skip stairs, jog w/ a backpack filled with weights, boxing & kickboxing sparring, footwork drills, mitt work, punching bag, tons of plyometric cardio routines to be precise, stairmasters, threadmmill switching from 0-100 at incline every 3 minutes, handball, I sometimes bike, soccer, and I play a pick-up basketball.

i alternate between HIIT on the treadmill, and the stair climber, who likes to do cardio prior to lifting or after, im always an after lifting kinda guy

I engage in martial arts, sprints, swimming, P-90x and weight training. I also add in a little bit of bike riding every now and then. I'm also not really a big fan of treadmills. I prefer to run outside on long trails. I find it a lot more entertaining this way.

Correct. You wil burn more fat in am cardio on an empty stomach. I actually recommend a single serving of protein before to get aminos in the blood stream. Your body won't break down the protein for energy like it would carbs. It will still default to fat cells moreso than muscle energy. If you are using gw 501516 you will have much more pronounced fat burning in AM cardio.

One of HIIT training's biggest advantages is Growth Hormone release. That helps recovery and fat burning.

A combination of hiit and standard cardio is ideal imo switching between the two every so often the days you do cardio.

I do 15min of HIIT followed by 15 min steady state every day. I have found that really works for me. If I need to drop bodyfat quickly, I'll do two of these 1/2 hour sessions a few times a week. I burn over a thousand calories on those days.

I ride my MTb but tend to throw in some hill climbs everytime I ride, otherwise a mix of Hiit and steady state bike riding does it for me, I'm
No morning person so can say I've never done morning fasted cardio, think I might be missing out too.....maybe!

Are you kidding, a bicycle (road bike) is the best workout machine you could ever buy. MTN bikes work especially when I ride the hell outta mine. You gotta really ride the hell out of a MTN bike which is a lot of fun actually.
