carb cycling??

I heard of carb cycling- going high carbs and then low carbs. But what exactly is the idea behind this? Is it because your body has lots of energy on high carb days and when you carry that energy into the low carb day you burn all the carbs plus more resulting in body fat being burned?? Any help would be appreciated!

Fool the body into thinking it is getting much higher carbs/calories than it is over the aggregate of the week by going low for three, then one moderate, low for two, then one high... it keeps the body from regulating down to the low cals/carb level and causing you plateu, and supplies you with the needed muscle glycogen to get you cranking for heavy days (day after/day of high carb/calorie day)

so would a person alter their workout schedule so they work out harder on high carb days and dont workout on lowcarb days?

sassy has a wonderful post on this EXACT topic... lemme see if i can find it...

and to answer your question: kinda. I do monster legs or back day either on the evening of high cal/carb day or the next, smaller groups on low days would be smart, but my work schedule is fecked that i just diet and not let it rule my life. I have to get the training in when the time presents itself, so if legs is on low day? then buck-the-fuck-up and KILL IT! whether or not my carbs have me ready or not.
