Canadian Bodybuilding Nationals July 23 in Winnipeg

I know we have a pretty big Canadian presence on the board. Canadian bodybuilding nationals is next Saturday (July 23) in Winnipeg. I will be at the evening show for sure to watch. Anyone else on the board planning on coming and watching? It would be cool if a bunch of us from Elitefitness all went out for dinner afterwards together or something. Yeah buddy!! I had a few good friends take home some hardware in the amateur middleweight and heavyweight bodybuilding classes.

The pros were insane though!! It's unreal to see up close and personal how big those guys really are... Pictures don't do them real justice!

I won't be attending the Winnipeg show, but my first trainers wife will be competing in women's masters bodybuilding. She has an insane physique... Legs bigger than 3/4 of the dudes I see on stage. I'll be wishing her luck from back home here in Vancouver.

I remember going to the Olympia when I was 18 and staying at the host hotel and rubbing shoulders with some of the competitors like Kai Greene, Ben Pakulski etc. That is when I thought to myself "Well, might as well take up fitness modelling and put the posing trunks away" LOL

No doubt bro, I was standing beside flex Lewis for a few mins.... His arms were bigger than my torso hahaha.

It's truly amazing to see how much muscle someone can actually pack onto their frame (genetics aside) it is some seriously impressive stuff.....

Makes you ponder.... How many chickens, cows, turkey, and fish had to die in order to build a single one of those dudes bodies hahahaha

I was more impressed with the conditioning @ the Vancouver show. And I mean across the board; BB'ing, MPD, figure, etc.

I won't be there either but I have a couple of friends going...repping Edmonton. I met Kai Green backstage a few years ago at a show (he was guest posing) and I was amazed at his size. He's short but huge! It should be a great show!

It would be my pleasure to go with fellow Eliters to the show, but I don't live in Canada, so it is a no-can-do for me. You have a good time there, and surely post later a report of how it went!

Its a bit far for me but I am sure the show will be amazing. There is nothing quite like seeing these guys in person. Makes me feel small!
