Can someone help me? I have an iPod question

So I recently bought one but I wasn't aware that one of the requirements for using it was iTunes. Does this mean that I can only transfer music that has been paid for using iTunes or can I tranfer other songs that I already have downloaded?
I still have it brand new, and in its box hoping to sell it on ebay if thats the case.

iTunes can play AIFF, WAV, AAC or MP3 files and rip CD's into those formats, but forget about your WMA collection. It (iTunes) will want to convert them to AAC or MP3 if you want to load them onto the IPOD.

Here I am on Monday morning just clicking on threads that women start just so I can look at their avatars...

Theres iTunes the program you run off your computer, and the iTunes store. You don't have to buy any music from the iTunes store to load your ipod. Just use the iTunes software, you can take songs from an audio CD.

This guy has ya covered. Just use the iTunes program as a medium to transfer songs that you already own onto your ipod. The software can be a lil tricky to learn at first, but once you get the hang of it you will be good to go.

For the record, I have over 500 songs on my iPod and I havent bought 1 through iTunes.

If you need any further help, dont be afraid to pm me and I will help ya as best I can. :coffee:

iTunes sucks. Yo really want the drag and drop. Dump iTunes and use Media Center 11. It has full ipod support, without the iTunes crap.
