Can i lose weight while training heavy and low reps?

Hello all, i would like to know if there is a possibility of losing weight, while dieting strict and training heavy [between 4 reps. and 10 reps] and still losing weight? Because i've noticed that when we train heavy and low reps our bodies get sort of bulky, bloated, our muscles and body get bulky. So isn't there a contradiction between training real heavy and losing weight? Would i block any weight-loss efforts by training heavy [4 to 10 reps. per sets]

thanx all, i would like your comments on this important matter

I was training heavy with similar reps, while dieting and doing cardio and I lost about 30 lbs, so it's definately possible, it's all about your diet I think cardio is important too.

uhh 4-10 aint no low rep range. if u wanna do low reps and add bulk like i did for awhile trhen 3-5 with high intensity sets and doa bout 4-5 sets on large muscle groups. cutting depends on diet bro and if u do a higher rep range like 6-10 thast more for steady lean gains i would say but i do the low reps high weight to shock my system and add some growth to me.

Shut up fatso, i didn't ask you any thing, go back to Pizza Hut and binge until you blow up

Wow......losing weight is completely diet oriented.

You will lose weight if the calories you consume are less than you burn daily.

You will gain weight if you if the calories you consume are MORE than you burn daily.

Has nothing to do with rep range.....except that lean mass (muscle) burns more calories for maintenance than fat mass...

You need to look at a basal metabolic rate calculator, figure for daily exercise.....and consume slightly fewer calories than necessary to lose weight.

hi all, i thought that doing high reps is a lot better for weight-loss than training heavy low reps. How come most people who want to lose weight and get cut do sets of 12 to 15 repetitions as opposed to the skinny guys who want to gain muscle and body weight real fast who all train heavy, just my 2 cents there

take care
