our entire judicial system needs tore up from the ground. This is broken on all levels and from every angle. It doesn't work. I didn't think you could get 25 years for shooting someone in the leg even if it was uprovoked. Being that this man found himself in the midst of a 40 man brawl, shot the dude in the leg than got the fuck out of there....I don't understand how he was even brought infront of a judge. For what? The gun was legal, the situation doesn't even need SYG. Cut Florida off like a gangrened penis already.

Government will do whatever they want to do until we cut their money.
We can bitch, sign petitions, call congress, engage in heady libertarian debates and sponsor awareness-raising events.
But until we cut their cash, they aren't doing anything. And I don't blame them. We (taxpayers) are tolerating it.

I was with a bunch of Orthopedic Surgeons groups over this weekend at their annual meeting. One of the items on the agenda was a "Update on Legislative Agenda" (translation: What is our lobbyist up to these days?).
