Calorie King

Hi Ladies-

I wanted to pass on this website for tracking your calories, nutrients, excercise and etc :Chef: . I know alot of you use Fit Day , but I found that the database on this site is more extensive and user friendly. I actually purchased their software for my home computer and absolutely love it.

I suggest downloading the free trial and taking a look , you may be pleasantly surprised. They have a lot of restaurants loaded , plus different ethic foods such as Indian , Greek , and so forth for those cheat meals. Plus they even have generic brands of food , if you are not purchasing the "name" brand.

Happy Counting :p

Vachelle, I'm totally with you, I got totally turned off on FitDay and don't like it, I got very frustrated trying to find "whole" foods and found putting the informatoin in awkward ... However, I now realize I really need a way to track calories and macros (boy was I wrong wrong wrong about what I THOUGHT I was eating!!!) I ended up signing up for one year with the online diet thing (other women splurge and buy shoes ... I buy things online).

I was thinking about buying CalorieKings software for the computer too, does that let you do the daily diet log and calculate fats/protein/carbs???

fitday really tick me off because there are some foods that don't match "their" calculations of calories, fat, carbs....like a lot of low carb foods. I have to try to find ways around that stupid thing. Most of the time I find ways around it but it's really annoying sometimes.

I use CalorieKing ALL the time!!!! I really like it. Haven't purchased the software though.

Hi MuscleMom-

Calorie Kings software has everything the online version has and more , you will totaly love it. You get the diet log , daily , weekly, monthly nutritional breakdown totals etc. Plus a pleathora of excercises , and their per minute calorie burn (bases on your personal info) to keep track of your training. :dance2:

What I really enjoy about the software , is the fact that you can copy and paste entries from previous days , without having to retype everything. This is great for those of us that eat pretty much the same thing on a daily basis.

Also what's great is that it has a feature , where if the item is not already in their data base , you can add it to your personal data base (calories , fiber, carbs , etc) and save it , so you can access the information at a later date. Same thing with recipes. If you have a favorite meal you like to make , you can enter the servings , calories , etc to "saved meals" , so when you make that dish again , say "MuscleMom's Egg White Surprise" :Chef: , the totals will always be there to access.

Calorie king will also send you a message that they have updated their database , and it's time to download the updates to your p.c.

As you can see I HIGHLY recommend it :elephant: :elephant:
