Cain says God persuaded him to run for president

Ohhh, come on now! Don't you you think you are just picking a little bit?? What would you do? What would your policy be towards Iran? Would you walk up to Ahmadinejad and give him a big, sloppy kiss?? It is impossible to use diplomacy with dictators. Read history, folks are talking about Jefferson in this thread, he did not put up with dictators. Reagan did not put-up with dictators, and both policies worked. Anyone, who thinks this guy is not a serious threat is off their rocker. They say Iran has access to warheads that can travel 2,000 miles, so they could easily reach Israel, which Iran would have no qualms using nukes on Israel, they hate them with all their being. Israel is probably our greatest ally save the British. Therefore, we would be obligated to step in and fuck them up. As long as we are the leaders of the "free world," we have an obligation to put rogue dictators in check..

Give them an ultimatum.. They have an (x) amount of time to turn over their warheads to the UN or dismantle their weapons asap. If they do not comply, we send a "special forces" unit in there to dismantle the weapons. If they continue to get cute, we send the CIA in to take out Ahmadinejad via assassination, there will not be much of a backlash from the indigenous people because they basically hate him. We put in a "puppet" leader, who is pro-democracy, it has been done time and time again. This guy has repeatedly threatened Israel and the U.S., he has to go... Fuck him, if all else fails, send Mother Green in her killing machine to commit genocide... it will be there pleasure.. they are about through wiping out Al-Qaeda...

I am telling you, if we do not resolve this issue, Israel will do a preemptive strike, they do not give a fuck.. and they will not lose, read history.. Then we will be fighting the entire Middle East, they all hate Israel----so we are better of dealing with it.. We still have the power, via economics, military, ect...

good post and i agree with some of it
"we send the CIA in to take out Ahmadinejad via assassination, there will not be much of a backlash from the indigenous people because they basically hate him"
but the moment we start murdering the hate towards the leadership turns into the most vigilant hatred of the usa and is played up as imperialism/racism/colonalism/etc...and the pop. will bite onto that with full force and then what? Iran is a bigass country boots on the ground would not be easy

I think the surest way to convince Iran that they NEED nukes would be to attack or invade them. This would also turn the populace against us, in a country where the people are mostly a lot more moderate than their leaders.

There are some pretty scary places that already have nukes - Russia, China, Pakistan. When you get nukes you join the MAD club. You know that if you are stupid enough to actually use them, you will be destroyed.

So after you've started some of the most divisive threads in EF history, participated in some of the most partisan name-calling and made some of the most snide and sarcastic comments on record, you've now decided that I should play nicely?

wait a sec, you're "seriously" accusing DB of being the name caller??? are you in some kind of fugue state? a magic carpet ride perhaps? sure you don't smoke weed? Although to be honest weed wouldn't get you where you are right now...it's gotta be something stronger cause you are tripping ballsack.

Dissociative amnesia: This disorder is characterized by a blocking out of critical personal information, usually of a traumatic or stressful nature. Dissociative amnesia, unlike other types of amnesia, does not result from other medical trauma (e.g. a blow to the head). Dissociative amnesia has several subtypes:

Localized amnesia is present in an individual who has no memory of specific events that took place, usually traumatic. The loss of memory is localized with a specific window of time. For example, a survivor of a car wreck who has no memory of the experience until two days later is experiencing localized amnesia.
Selective amnesia happens when a person can recall only small parts of events that took place in a defined period of time. For example, an abuse victim may recall only some parts of the series of events around the abuse.
Generalized amnesia is diagnosed when a person's amnesia encompasses his or her entire life.
Systematized amnesia is characterized by a loss of memory for a specific category of information. A person with this disorder might, for example, be missing all memories about one specific family member.

Dissociative fugue (This one has my vote) is a rare disorder. An individual with dissociative fugue suddenly and unexpectedly takes physical leave of his or her surroundings and sets off on a journey of some kind. These journeys can last hours, or even several days or months. Individuals experiencing a dissociative fugue have traveled over thousands of miles. An individual in a fugue state is unaware of or confused about his identity, and in some cases will assume a new identity (although this is the exception).

Dissociative identity disorder (DID), which has been known as multiple personality disorder, is the most famous of the dissociative disorders. An individual suffering from DID has more than one distinct identity or personality state that surfaces in the individual on a recurring basis. This disorder is also marked by differences in memory which vary with the individual's "alters," or other personalities. For more information on this, see the NAMI factsheet on dissociative identity disorder.

Depersonalization disorder is marked by a feeling of detachment or distance from one's own experience, body, or self. These feelings of depersonalization are recurrent. Of the dissociative disorders, depersonalization is the one most easily identified with by the general public; one can easily relate to feeling as they in a dream, or being "spaced out." Feeling out of control of one's actions and movements is something that people describe when intoxicated. An individual with depersonalization disorder has this experience so frequently and so severely that it interrupts his or her functioning and experience. A person's experience with depersonalization can be so severe that he or she believes the external world is unreal or distorted.

Considering you are not a troll, I will be perfectly honest with you bro. I totally agree with that policy, if the U.S. decides to start whacking every dictator, there will be an enormous backlash. The Iranian people already have animosity towards the US because the large economic sanctions we levied them with. The sanctions are crippling their economy, they basically are westernized. I really do not believe Ahmadinejad is a serious threat, he is a wack-job, however, he knows not to fuck around with Israel. If Iran was close to being in the last stages of erecting nukes, make no mistake about it, Israel would do a preemptive strike, they do not care.. and they know ultimately the U.S. is their greatest ally... Even tho there is a little strain in our relations with Israel.

Ahmadinejad is a "traffic engineer," lololo... He is basically westernized, look how he dresses. Consequently, that pisses-off the right-wing religious groups. The Shiites hate him more than the indigenous people do, which I believe has him shook-up because they have the power to whack him, and they will. Hence, Ahmadinejad has to worry about the Shiites and Israel, before he does the U.S.. I think the U.S. takes a back seat and lets things play out. I believe the only reason the U.S. levied Iran with sanctions was to appease Israel.

Last, if we do start fighting every country in the Middle East, they will just unite and build a coalition. Iraq and Iran hate each other, but they would join forces just to destroy the U.S.. Just like Vietnam and China did, they hated each other but the Chinese aided the Vietnamese in order to spread communsim... The Vietnamese probably hated the Chinese more than they did the U.S., but their independence was so vital to them, they became China's ally in order to gain their independence----I think the same thing would happen in the Middle East, if we keep fucking around with everyone..

However, there is something called "tragedy of the commons," if we do not imperialize and take resources somebody else will, this ties in with human nature, there is some members of this site who will never understand that philosophy. I do not like it anymore than anyone else does. I would love to gather in a great big circle holding hands and sing Amazing Grace until we are blue in the face. Unfortunately, human nature prevents that from happening.. The older I get, the more ambivalent I become towards government policy... However, I rather be on the winning side..

acknowledge he has a valid point and move one. He's 100% right, when it becomes clear you've run out of intellectual steam you go right to the snarky names. You can't "unresist" it....:lmao:

The subtle beauty of this post is that you don't have the intellectual capacity to comprehend its irony.

I'll concede that Db has the smarts to similarly enjoy things like that.

There is zero irony to it. Ur just claiming irony because your ego is demanding it.
