Bulking and waist line question...

i am tring to bulk but i am having a shit load of weird problems. heres my situtation as short and simply as i can make it.

past 6 weeks i have been eating about 3000 cals a day, almost all clean foods. started bulk at 209lbs. current weight is 202lbs. my waist is bigger at 202lbs (36 inch now) than 209lbs (34 inch then). my strenght is going up each week of the bulk and i look a lot thicker now but my face, neck and gut look a lot chubbier. what is going on here?
 
obivously you are not eating enough if you are losing whilst trying to bulk. The strength gains maybe just naturally going up as you are getting stronger. The only explenation i copuld think of if you are losing weight yet looking chubbier is that you are gaining fat. If you are eating clean and cutting weight you should not see a increase in waist size unless it is going down not up. There is obviously something you are missing in your diet maybe you macros are screwed because there is noway you would start increasing in size (looking thicker) and waist size going up if you are actually losing weight. Check your diet and post up your macros (use fitday.com)

i eat a total of 5 times a day, last time i had my bodyfat tested was in november but i am getting it tested again later this month, i have had some gains in the gym, but i also started taking n.o. explode, makes a huge difference in the gym, and im lovin it. i was thinking about bringing musclemilk with me to work to get a 6th "meal" in, even though musclemilk isnt exactly a meal but its the next best thing. i dont know my exact macros but i try to get about 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat.
