Bowel movements

ready2rumble

New member
first off, this is a serious thread..lol...maybe a bit politically incorrect, but serious.

i am not having very many bowel movements, maybe every other day...and when i go, i crap like a rabbit, just small pellets.

i have been eating very very clean the last few months, no junk food, no fast food. mainly homecooked meals, veggies, fruits, protein shakes etc. is my body just burning everything i eat??? sometimes i get nasty gas and feel like i have to make a poopy, but nothing comes out or just a couple of tiny pellets. i told a buddy of mine about it, he thinks my body is just using everything up..therefore no waste...any ideas???

Yes, fiber is your friend, your goal is 25 to 30 gm a day, think:

and insoluble fiber thats the fiber that goes through undissolved or altered by the digestive track..

high fiber, high protein, and moderate carbs

I just had to post in the poooo thread

isnt fiber for constipation? im not constipated, when i have to poop..i poop. just not much and not often. im not complaining at all, i just want to help understand what is going on. i actually like only using only one roll of toilet paper every month.

u should be having a bm at least once per day, dood.

You are constipated... and probably dehydrated. How much water do you drink per day?

Gods I hate poop threads ...

Okay, long story short, you're going to give yourself hemorrhoids or bowel cancer eventually. Think of fiber like internal scrubbing bubbles. If you add the fiber (along with water) the odor would go down, and you would be going more often.

You got to remember, what you're expelling is NOT good for your body, it's waste, and not just food waste. Your body shuttles environmental toxins it's been exposed to out through urine and feces, as well. Since you're not producing enough to go daily, you're keeping toxins in your body longer than you need to.

That nasty gas? That's not good, and not pleasant. Increasing fiber will help that to a degree. Small, hard stool doesn't just uh, fall out. You've got to be straining (GOD TMI ...) but that's how you give yourself hemorrhoids and fistulas, you don't want that either.

Finally, low fiber intake has been linked to increased risk of colon cancer, short and sweet.

Finally, just read this, it's not me talking here, it's the government:

FDA/CFSAN Why is fiber important to your diet?

I thought the poop was just undigestable/usable intake and the urine is where the toxins and bad stuff came out? Kidneys feed into bladder not ur arse?
I hate when I am dehydrated I use a lot of tp wipping, sometimes I just get in the shower. Damn hemroids!

According to Sherry Rogers, M.D., who is a Toxicology Expert and a physician who actually works with people who are suffering from toxin exposures, the way our body, specifically our liver, removes toxins (and that includes things you don't even think about like breathing the exhaust of a car), is chemically (I don't have the process memorized and haven't read the book in a while, it's sitting right there on the shelf but whatever). The gist is that it links the chemicals molecules to atoms, sulfur is one that's used.

We don't just excrete toxins through urine, we excrete them through our respiration, through our feces and through our perspiration. If we don't excrete them, they get stored in fat cells.

Add four tablespoons of ground flax to your diet. Two in the AM and 2 in the PM. Adds fiber and some omega 3s to the mix. See how that goes. More poop for you!

I remember when I had that same problems years ago. Same way as you, until I did everything MuscleMom has mentioned as recommendations. Drink plenty of water, try to eat at least 5 small meals a day, and get some good sleep. I also take in a decent amount of fiber intake a day. I like to eat wheaties for cereal and I have found that particular cereal to clean me out smooth as soft fudge coming out of you and you will know it. I get an appetite thereafter, cause it cleans your digestive system out real good. I found that drinking cokes were a reason also why I was pooping pellets! Not anymore! I am going at least 2 times a day and that is what you want cause last thing you want to have is to have "impact or comapaction" in your intestines!!eat pleanty of veggies also.

i will up the fiber and water, just finished a winny cycle which may have dehydrated me a bit. i have been pissing like a racehorse the last 7wks.

i dont drink sodas or beer or any alcohol. only water and the occasional monster locarb energy drink.

btw, i crapped twice today..go figure.

Hmmm...... I have been on a keto diet for a while and noticed the same thing and figured that my body was just using up everything I ate. I eat two small salad's every day and figured that was enough? I eat 2 eggs in the morning, a quarter chicken (white) with skin and two side salad's for lunch, and some sort of meat at night "whatever the wife cooks". Is it possible that my body just doesn't have anything to excrete? I drink enough water for my pee to be clear and I dookie about every three days. Sorry, I just had to use the word "dookie" in a sentence.

Fiber is undigestible. Since fiber is found in fruits and vegetables, when you go on a keto diet, you significantly reduce fiber in your diet.

It's not a matter of "Using Up" what you're eating, you're eating less and not putting any fiber in. Fiber is what absorbs and holds water, making the stool larger, softer and easier to move through the digestive track and pass. The volume has gone down, both in quantity and type of food that you're eating.
