Those companies should have been forced to use a lock-box just like social security so the funds could never be raided. That's why social security funds could never be used to distort or deflect an otherwise glaringly problematic debt.

I don't work directly for the doctors (nor would I, ever, not in this type of work, they can be major pricks), I subcontract for an office that contracts with the doctors. And it would include the blood sucking owner of that company who has seen fit to increase the doctors fees numerous times but has never once increased the rate the transcriptionists are paid.

I have three doctors: A chiropractor, a sports medicine guy and my dentist. My chiropractor is "so rich" that when his eldest daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma this summer friends held a fundraiser for her because the cost of the treatment is wiping him out. The other two guys I don't know for sure, but judging by their cars and office locations I'll guarantee they make a lot less than you after catching that glimpse of Stately Plunkey Manor

It's the loss of trust in those we trust that is causing the biggest disdain and the making of cynical people like myself that is ruining society.

So instead of sucking it up and dealing with the doctors directly, you sell your labor at a discounted rate to a broker who you think isn't paying you enough?

I'm only going to say this one more time, fucking try to remember.

First of all, I've called myself _____'s whore plenty of times. That being said, beside health problems that include tendons and joints falling apart and increasing pain (which requires I work at my own pace) my history of being abused has left me with a reduced ability to cope with stress. Just getting through my day to day life can be hard enough without having the fear of needing to constantly placate a client or the enormous stressor of handling them when they flip their shit. I simply don't have the nerves for it. And being a subcontractor, if a client quits the office always has another doctor they can send me.
