BodyByFinnaplex... food advice?

Have you ever seen a facility that produces cheap ground meat? You think they sit sround and carfully select the finest cuts? Lol, believe me, they aren’t too discriminate about what goes into the mincer, and guess were the waste they sweep off the floor goes too..

Man, I love my bolognaise and hamburgers. Stop ruining them for me ;)

FatRat, oh god forbid that we should eat anything but the most popular cuts of meat. Everyone knows that what the general publis finds appealing is the most anabolic food to eat. That's why Joe Average is so massive and ripped.

If you want to bodybuild on a budget, like casualbb is talking about, one must learn to look at food as a means to an end, not their source of pleasure and enjoyment. Personally, I'm a full time student right now, and I can't afford 4-5 ibs of New York Strip every day. Rather that eat what I like, I learn to like what I eat.

BBF, does the Foreman Grill remove most of the fat from the Ground Turkey?? This sounds like it would GREAT with Sweet Potatoes and Broccoli. Especially, when you're dieting on a budget like I plan on doing VERY shortly. Everyone can't afford lbs of Skinless Chicken Breasts or Sirloin everyday...:D

Like I said, that "could" be true about cheap beef and pork. (Bologna and hot dogs.) I heard about the show on Discovery Channel about it, but didn't see it.

This is ground turkey. It's cheap anyway. They are making a killing just by offering to the consumer.:)

In my origonal post I said just that "...but all protein I suppose" If thats what you need to eat, no probs. I only graduated 2 years ago myself, so know about eating on a budget.

My second post was a direct response to another that seemed to suggest that ground Turkey did not have the offle that other meat products contain.

If you meant like all ground meat products, then I agree with you. The same type of processing used for ground beef I believe is the same for ground turkey.

However, I do not believe that ALL ground meat products have the floor scrapings and critter legs that you believe bologna and hotdogs have. (Per that TV show again.:))

TR, I judge from the average amount of drain off (I measured it before LoL), that these higher fat cuts of groun turky, loose about half of their fat content on the forman grill, but it is still high. This isn't a problem for me though, since I believe low-fat diets to be rediculous for both bulking and cutting. You are doing a 40/30/30 if I recall, so you could manipulate your other foods to get the ratio right though.

i worked in the meat dept of a grocery store for 5 years, i never tossed floor scraps into any of the products which i ground up. i'm not saying it doesnt happen, but it didnt where i worked
