Where do i get these 'boards' ?

Can i buy them somewhere or do most gyms provide them?

Sorry for sounding like a noob.

They are simply 2x6 boards nailed, screwed, or duct taped together. You can make your own.

Go to Lowes or a lumber yard and tell them what you want. I use Duck Tape to hold mine together.

I've never done them, but I would think with the boards, you still need to balance the large amount of weight on your chest. The pins leave no room for that.

2x6 or 2x4? does it matter? what length would be sufficient. 12 in, 14 in?

Mine are 18".. The Top board is 18" with a handle cut into it...And the boards under it are 15" and they are 2x6s
