I feel like I have just gained 50 pounds over-night I'm extremely bloated and and retaining water. Does anyone have a remedy? It's that damn time of the month again

Why do women get bloated anyway, is it a hormone thing, is there a magical pill that takes it all away? Or are we just doomed for the rest of our lives!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can recommend is to drink lots of water. Just keep in mind......you'll lose it in a week ! We all go through it....but, it's worth it to be a WOMAN !!!

tan,, u can try some dandelion root for the water weight,,also i know if i take like pamprine or midol,,,,, that seems to help too:D

Were pretty much doomed in that sense.....until meonopause ;)

...but menopause brings it's own little nasties, and sad to say, I think the grass is greener on THIS side of the fence. :worried:

I just finished reading the book The Change Before The Change - about peri-menopause. I'm 38, and according to that book, peri-menopause could hit me at any time. I don't think it hit my mother until she was in her 50's, so I better keep stocking up on feminine products in the meantime. (Thanks Mom!)

Ever since reading that book, along w/ a sizeable selection of anti-aging books ( :D - I just want to get a jump on my competition!) I'm actually sort of happy to see Aunt Flow every month.

The bloat sucks, but drinking more water, watching your salt intake and using a mild diuretic can help.

Your right about that one......maybe just saying were doomed to the end is better :)

I read that young girls nowadays are hitting prepuberty earlier;and also that menopause is hitting us at an earlier age--- middle forties. My friend is 44, and has all the symptons of menopause-- mood swings;depression;lack of menstral;heat flashes......so, maybe we should count our bloatings :)
