Doc the ex-gf went to told her that they don’t recommend them for women who have not had children yet. Not sure if it was just that doctor or it’s a standard.
Has she tried Depo-vera. My wife is on that. Not too bad and she never gets her period.
There are things on the market called "semicid" or something close to that...It is kind of unromantic because you have to wait 25 mins for it to dissolve..It is shaped like a suppository and you put it in the vagina as far as you can go, let it dissolve and it kills the sperm before it can get to the egg. The 25 mins can be great foreplay right? No condoms or bcp...it worked for me...till it ran out.then i got pregnant lol...good luck
I can understand why you don't want to use condoms.
There are lots of other non-hormonal things available - IUDs, caps, sponges, and more. The sensible thing would be for your girlfriend - or, perhaps, both of you together - to go to see her doctor and discuss the various options.
(By the way, I don' think that, if you and your girlfriend are having sex often or even infrequently but regularly, 'spur of the moment' is necessarily the best approach!)
They are less effective then a condom and most of all they taste HORRIBLE. Once is it in, stay far away from that area because anything near it gets polluted with the most bitter taste you can imagine!
Did you use them with the PNP (pull and pray) method or did you rely on the 100%? I used to use them and a condom too. Just in case... I was always too nervous to drop it in and rely on the tablet.
