best shoes for squats

what's up guys , I need some advices on a safe pair of squat shoes , I had a few accidents in the past because of the shoes, thank you.

What kinds of shoes were you using before? Rather than the typical gym users trainers you'd be better of in boots. There are a ton of good squatting shoes but they're expensive. Have a look at Nike Romaleos

For squatting, you want to use minimalist shoes. Squatting in bare feet is actually best but obviously that's not the best idea in a gym - very easy to get a foot fungus.

I personally use wrestling shoes. They are kind of like slippers with grip on them.

Another good option are converse by chuck taylor.

I use Olympic lifting shoes for squatting. Much sturdier than those wobbly sneakers.

Adidas lifting shoes for me. They are amazing if you’ve never worn a dedicated Oly lift shoe. Because of how they are designed.

The only downside is that they are basically worthless for anything outside the gym, because of the construction.

You can drive in them and walk across the parking lot to the casino but that’s about it.
