best lower ab workout

You should post this on the lifting board. I'm no expert but my understanding is that it's pretty hard to isolate upper lower. What has worked for me is to really suck in my gut while doing all ab exercises
 
that was good...anyways, i havent figured it out either...all i know is if you want to see 'em, you got to eat right and do cardio..try laying half on a flat bench with your legs hangin off up to your lower ass, hang a 25 pound plate from your legs or put it on top of your legs, lay down and raise and lower your legs, not to touch the ground, but to an inch off and only to the horizontal postion to your body, do not lift them higher...very good movement for your lower abs and also those groin muscles...
 
I dont have any idea what the best exercise for the lower abs is. But I did read an article by Milos Sarcev (cant remember if thats how you spell his name) where he said that if you really want to bring out your lower abs to do 2 lower ab exercises for every 1 upper ab exercise you do. I dont think you can isolate your ab regions. But of course there are exercises that work the lower better, and some the upper better ,theres also some like medicine ball crunches that are suppost to work the overall ab region. You might also want to try to add weight to your lower ab exercises ,but only use you own body weight for the upper ab exercises until you have brought your lower abs up to par. Hope this helps.

Incline Leg Raises do a good job of isolating them bro. Hanging Leg Raises as well. Reverse Crunches. These three require alot of focus on form though, in order to isolate said areas. Done improperly, and you're wasting your time. As was said also, to bring the Abs out diet is the key. Cardio helps, but isn't essential.
