Ok so 2 yrs ago I broke my back and almost got stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. My spine shards were 2-3mm from going all the way through my spinal cord.Luckily I am still walking but I wound up with some significant nerve damage and massive muscle loss in my calves. My surgeon is prescribing me var and I have been combining that with sus at 400mg e/w. I have been gaining in my calves but am still way far from normal. Everything else is good getting way stronger. My question is what do you reccomend to regrow lost muscle? Should I try HGH or just stick with aAS until I can get back to normal?

Thanks

My brother; my brother.

Same GD thing happened to me several years ago. I was a competitive athlete and I ruptured a disc in my cervical spine. Lost literally all the muscle on my right pec, lat, tricep and a lot of the forearm. Had a great deal of numbness and tingling. Scary. Couldn't do even one pushup for months. Orthopedic surgeon told me I was lucky I wasn't paralyzed from the neck down.

The answer is not, as I found out, AAS. Since we're talking about an innervation issue (the connection of nerves to muscle), the answer is physical therapy and quite possibly hardcore anti-inflammitories.

Once that is taken care of your muscles will bounce right back to your genetic and environmental profile. Until the nerves are fixed AAS won't do a damn thing.

But take heart, after my battle with near paralysis I worked hard and came back to my career with more success than ever before. No B.S. You can do it but it will take time, discipline and education.

I certainly know what you're going through right now -- good luck.

I feel your pain man.... I haven't had a misfortune like yours but I've had surgery and therapy for both knees and shoulders...

As athlete.03 said, I wouldn't rely heavily on AAS to rehabilitate... physical therapy and chiropractic care do wonders.... that being said, I remember reading that very small doses of deca and test help improve collagen and repair cartilidge (higher doses have the opposite effect if I remember correctly)....

Growth hormone also has the same ability to stimulate the production (or reproduction, in the case of an injury) of cartilage. You need to run IGF as well (as a mediator) to allow this to happen. HGH also stimulates elongation of bone tissue.

One more thing.... I just started a cycle of aflutop (similar to canine adequan)... supposed to help with joint problems... 1 or 2 (21 day) cycles... not sure if it will help, but it's an inexpensive option to experiment with.

Good luck man!

Primo and Var are both often used with medical issue to regenerate muscle tissue and lbm.

Ya thats why my surgeon prescribed var for me. I am just wondering if HGH will help at all. I have been rehabbing for 2 years now. I wasn't making progress at first because I still had a piece of bone cutting off nerves. They did a 2nd surgery and now I am progressing especially with the help of AAS but I am just curious as to what others thoughts are on the best thing to use to help build back depleted muscle. Is Var/Test the best way to go? Primo? HGH? Winny? And combinations? Just looking for opinions. Thanks
