Benching Chains

You can make your own with the heaviest chain that you can find from Lowes or another store of that type.

Go to www.elitefitnesssystems.com and look under links. I think they still have a link for their supply company.

I know chains are generally used by powerlifters but I was wondering if it would be good for a bodybuilder since it emphasizes the lockout, perhaps it would increase the role of the triceps? You think that a fair assumption? Ive never tried it.

It helps my triceps, and from any standpoint (BB or PL) they need help the most. While I do not measure my arms, my wife commented on the effective of chains and bands and the increase of the size of my triceps. To say nothing of the far more important bench increase.

Chains are those things that loggers use to tie the logs down on the trailers. Also used to pull a truck out of a rut. That sort of thing. The chains for benching or squatting are the exact same thing, but are in 5 foot sections and are hung off the bar so that when you are at the bottom of the lift, the chains are on the floor, and when you lock out you lift more and more chain off the floor.

Think of it this way...chains do not work the lockout more...it works the natural strength curve more.

Ok...go to www.elitefitnesssystems.com then to links, then to topper supply, powerlifting chains...and you will see the set-up.
