Before and Now

Well Brothers to start out, I never really realized that I was fat until someone took a picture of me... I was three months away from thirty years old. Social life sucked ...Jeezz makes me sick to look at the pictures! Well I started to jog 30 mins in the am and 30 in the Pm along with a new diet and a five day workout. It took about six months to burn the crap off of me.

It is amazing how much attention that you get in a club when you are in shape! I was having the time of my life..then I messed up. I started dating a girl that didnt work out. She was hot! I tried to get her to come workout with me and to stop eating unhealthy but I gave in to her lifestyle and gained about fifteen pounds of fat..I still worked out but the intensity was not there and it showed. I finally broke up with her after coming to my senses (year and a half)

Now Im 32 and things are looking up.. In October I got back to my cardio and diet. My workout it at the intensity that it needs to be. Ive done a couple of cycles.Deca seems to bloat me too much, but when I combine it with sust 250 and winny it works great.

I want to thank this board for the many hours of reading. I have learned alot of great information.

now i got it all... its amazing what a littlehard work, a tan and a razor will do. good job bro.

LOL @ INSANE 1

Kez that last piece of Fat on your lower abs is the hardest to come off. Kick some more ass on it.

Thanks

Thanks bro's

My metabolism is so screwed that Ive been doing an hour of cardio a day on the tredmill at a 4.5 increase. Since adding Winny to my mix it seems Im losing size. Should I cut back to 30 min of cardio or would it help out if I do my old routine of 30 AM/ 30 PM

Very nice results. Should be an inspiration to everyone trying to lose fat.

About the cardio-- Stick with what works for you, dont changed it. If 30-am and 30-pm cardio worked, then stick with that.

BTW- What does your diet look like? What ratios do you use.

My diet is pretty boring.. I have a timer on my watch set to go off every two hours to remind me to eat.
Im eating Eggs, Tuna, Chicken and Steak.. I eat a protien bar and drink shakes to help with the meal every two hour thing. I will keep you guys updated with my progress. Thanks

good good job :)

the best thing you did that you broke up with anti-gains (girls )

btw in the 1st pic you look 70years old (sorry :) )

in the last one you look 20 :D :o

Kez

Damn bro. you deserve much props. as you have changed your physique completely around! Awesome!

Quick question whats you daily carb intake?
:D

remember on the cardio...it is not how hard you go that burns more fat! If you go too hard you turn it from a fat burning event to a sugar burning event ...keep your pulse rate at 120-130 range ..it won't feel like you are getting your ass kicked ...but that isn't the point with fat burning ...you are trying to burn the maximum fat that you can ...not work as hard as you can....
The reason most people in the gym do not lose a lot of fat , even though you see them day after day doing cardio.....is that they are going at it to hard.....hell do you think Ronnie coleman runs to get that ripped? Hell no! he walks on the tredmill or bikes SLOWLY>

Deepsquat

So what your saying is it is better to jog at a moderate speed for 30-45 minutes than it is hauling ass for 15 or so? Treadmill that is!

VERY IMPRESSIVE BRO YOU LOOK GREAT. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT FIRST PICTURE IS YOU. YOU DON'T EVEN LOOK THE SAME. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRO.

Nice improvements, damn u must be stoked to go from that 45year old bear belly hunk of shit in the first pic, to a decent and cut size you are now....

PS- lose that visor in the last pic and u will look better dude, thats for tennis gay-boys j/k

cardio

This is my cardio breakdown:
min 1-15 jog heart rate ranges 140- 160
min 15-20 walk heart rate range 100-130
min 20-30 jog heart rate range 150 170
min 30-35 walk heart rate 120-130
min 35-45 jog heart rate 160-180
min 45-50 walk heart rate 120-130
min 50-60 jog heart rate 160-180

during my walk the incline is at 4.5 and the speed is at 5.5 on the walk the incline is the same and the speed is 3.0.

Since the last two weeks that Im off deca and picked up winny to finish my cycle of sust. Im begining to think think that Im losing size... Like in my chest. But it might be the fat that Im losing. I guess im just afraid to cut back on the cardio..dont ever want to go back to the "70" old me ;) Im tempted to cut back to 30 mins to see how my body reacts.. Do you really think 130 heart rate burns that much fat??

Right now my focus areas to trim are my abs, glutes and quads.

Wanna.. I dont really know what my carb intake has been, Ive been trying to limit my carbs before 6 and eat very lean at night.

I totally agree with this statement. I always explain it to people like this because it is easy to understand.

Consider your body a race car......your body needs fuel right. Well you have two types of fuel 1. High Octane=Carbs, sugar and 2. Low Octane=Fat. If you burn high octane fuel your will be moving at a fast pace, if you burn low octane fuel you move at a slow pace. So to burn fat you have to slow down to a brisk walk. Make any sense???

Viper

Ive never had it explained to me like that.. Low octane fuel hmm.. I will try it this morning. I have this cool watch that reads out my heart rate. And when Im lifting it reads that Im around that range of 120-130. Also can set it to go off if you level is too high or low..

Thanks for all the input!! I was hesitant to post my fat ass pics on here,

If you are able, give wind sprints a try. Maybe add some fina for 3-4 weeks. You will look and feel like you are made of titanium.

Excellant work !.......it takes balls to post your pics. I would put these on your fridge so you see them every time you go to open it up.

amazing transformation...take into consideration you are million steps ahead from when you started...how's the diet...is it still the same as when you started out?your cardio looks good, but if you're still eating the same as in the beginning, then you will lose muscle...winny will help the situation, but check you diet and make sure you taking into account the new LBM you have developed.fyi:fro:

Excellent job! Damn someone actually dieted correctly and did cardio. It's rocket science. And what Deepsquat said is DEAD ON. You need to find your target heart rate (usually posted somewhere in your gym according to your age) and stay within that range for 30 - 40 minutes. This will burn FAT. If your heart rate goes too fast, your body will stop burning fat. It will instead start storing the fat and burn immediate sugars. If you don't have enough sugars, guess what it starts burning next, muscle. Keep it in your target range and you will be amazed at the difference in results. Also, try doing your cardio first thing in the a.m. after fasting all night. Your body has to resort to burning its fat stores (but keep it in the target range).

Ever see some big fat asses going 100mph on the stairmaster every day and still be soft and fat? This is the reason.

Outstanding the only thing i recommend it to focus a bit more on your traps i can tell its a little uneven and its pretty small need to cath up withthe rest of the body since the rest stands out but your traps hardly does so it looks akward but great job and I hope your hitting the leg routine as hard too hate to see chicken legs and big upper body seen too many people liek that lol

First of all big props to you bro, that is one hell of an accomplishment. Can you give me some details on what kind of diet you did to lose all that fat. I am in a little bit better shape than you were in at the start and I have a lot more muscle. But I want to get this excess fat off. Also where did you get that watch that measures your heart rate I WANT one!!! :D Hit me back with some info, bro

Hewlet- I noticed the same thing with my traps.. It might be the picture, but the last month I began my shoulder routine working my traps. I used to work traps at the end and I wasnt seeing any growth. Now as far as legs Ive always had big legs. My calves are 17" and my target area to cut up would be my quads and my glutes.

Tryin_to_bulk - I eat alot of chicken, there is a place down the street that grills 10 pieces of chicken for under 10 bucks.. Ill get that and eat it during the day. I seem to do good when I eat every two hours.. Im about sick of tuna(found some that comes in a vaccum sealed pouch that doesnt have thecan taste. I use protien bars and shakes to help out too. My last two meals of the day are very lean in carbs and fat. The watch that I bought is a Timex ironman triathalon I bought it from walmart for 69.00

Mechanic- Ive got that disgusting picture on my fridge..it really works!! also I take pics every few weeks to see where I need to concentrate on.

Viper- This morning at the gym I noticed all the competitors were on the bikes or walking on the treadmill like you were talking about and the skinny bastards where running thier asses off.. I think you guys have opened my eyes on the cardio/heart rate thing!

That kicks some serious ass bro, you look great. NOW go out and buy your self some size brother.

Great job! ORCA.

Kez

I hear you on the Tuna thing. What I do is mix the tuna with some mustard or to change things up a little I sometimes mix it with some pickle relish. Not the best tasting but it kills some of the tuna and can taste. Wish I had a place in town that cooks that much chicken for under 10 bucks. I guess I will have to stick with my George Forman grill and boneless skinless chicken breasts. Anyone got any good ideas for chicken marinates???? :spin:

OHHHH....ancient myths die hard. DEEPSQUAT, I hate to tell you, but only the total calories burned are critical, not the fuel source. Lower intensity exercise equals lower calories burned, therefore longer durations are required to obtain any benefit. If only fat burning was the key, then doing no exercise would impart the greatest benefit, since the body burns primarily fatty acids at rest.

Using Ronnie Coleman was not a good example, since he is a walking pharmacy. With the amount of cardiac stimulants that pro BB's use, it is no wonder that they never do high intensity cardio.

Lets look at better real world examples. Take a look at Olympic long distance runners, like the Kenyan team, who all look like Olive Oyl with bad tans. These athletes use primarily fatty acids during the majority of their event. They look like shit.

Now look at high intensity athletes like Michael Johnson. Most here would kill for his physique: excellent muscle mass and very little body fat. Yet his event is driven only by glucose from stored glycogen.

So, the main goal is not to use only fatty acids as fuel, since this will limit total calories burned, but to expend as many calories as possible. One does not have to do sprints at 100%VO2Max, but simply increase his/her intensity levels periodically. I like the idea of High Intensity Interval Training, where you interject intense bursts during cardio training, instead of the usual slow, long treadmill or bike ride.

I enjoy these before & after pics......Congrats to ya man the hard work is paying off and it only gets better...RADAR
