That tired-ass slogan from the Cattlemen's Association marketing campaign 10 years ago actually seems to be accurate.
This is my fourth year of consistent serious lifting, and until very recently I've not had the bank to afford quality beef on a regular basis. I've always relied on whey powder and egg whites for my protein. Due to financial improvements I'm enjoying, I recently stocked up on a freezer full of sirloin, and my strength gains seem to be slightly improved over the last three weeks. No changes in supps or my routine. Logic suggests it's the beef.
Two questions: anyone know why this seems to be true, and have you made similar observations about beef?
