Bad News Bro's......

I just found out that I'm most likely (like 99%) sure that I'm losing my job tomorrow. It fucking sucks, man. The worst part is that I had NO IDEA. We were doing well, and everything. It seemed like all my superiors really liked me and my work. And I get a call on SATURDAY (yesterday) of all days, and the message left is something to the effect of, "Your status has been terminated.". The person leaving the message was calling on a message that SHE received......no one even had the deceny to do this to my face! I'm so fucking pissed off. Well.........I'm off to hit the weights really hard today.

Peace....

Sorry to hear it bro. I already gave you karma so I can't give you anymore. Peace.

A lot of firms wait until the end of the fiscal year to fire people regarding budget cuts. Most firms have the year end on Nov. 30 for that purpose. The only reason I can think of that they left you voice mail is that they're scared shitless of you.

Is it really? That explains alot....as I had a nice executive type job that started Dec. 1st and was laid off Nov. 30th(without notice) the following year...I always though it was odd...

im really sorry to hear that man.....what your going through sucks, and to do it through voice mail is unspeakable.....a little friendly advice as far as training goes though......take your anger and suffering and completely channel it to your training and i guarentee you that not only your intensity but your results will shoot through the roof......just a little something from someone that knows what your going through

I feel you bro. I work in the airline industry, and for the last two years, every day I walk into my office feels like that day could be my last. I've seen co-workers all around me vanish one after another, and no one has the balls to tell them in person.

I'm self employed...but aren't the sorry #^%$& Supposed to give you like a 2 weeks notice??????

RADAR

I identify guys, I had 5 years in with a company and they canned me in about 5 seconds and never even said why? I came back from vacation and my desk was empty. Mother fuckers!

Fuck em, you will land on your feet!

A good friend of mine got a call one night saying tomorrow is your last day. He went in to work the next day and they were pulling the plug on the whole operation. It was an internet startup company that was up for 3 years.

nope...that's only if you decide to quit on them. pretty shitty double standard eh?

something great may turn up though, it could be fate

yeah, sometimes the good is the worst enemy of the best. you would never leave a good job so you would never get the best job. maybe they did you a favor.

who wants to work for a gutless bunch of motherfuckers like that, anyway?

as one door closes...another opens..:karate:

Thx SO MUCH for the responses, and caring guys. I really thank all of you great bro's. And hopefully, things will turn out. Well, if nothing else, I'll be on here alot more, and have more time to train, etc.

Actually, they do have to pay you everything you're owed on the same day you're terminated.

This can happen to anyone, anytime. Remember the death and taxes quote by Franklyn.

Man, just knowing you are on this board shows you are a thinker and into new ideas and I know you will bounce back and get a better job.

Get out there fast and hit the job market. If you don't your stress can cause a huge cortisol spike and you loose gains.

Brock that sucks bro. I'm in the same boat sort of. I've been at my job for 8 years and a week and a half ago I was told I'm being "let go". At least they gave me some notice. My last day is Dec 1st. It gave me some time to set up my credit cards with that insurance that makes the payments for you if you loose you job. When one door closes another one opens up you just have to look for it. I've found a business partner and decided to open a bar.

Sorry to hear that bro. Ive been outta work for three months till just the other day. What state are you from maybe one of us can help you out. Thats what we are oll on this board for anyways right? Good luck to ya.

A wise old man once said to me "Good things arise from bad situations" and it was true.Changes in life are needed otherwise there is no progression, thinks would remain static

Sorry to hear about the job situation. From what I can tell you're a hard worker and it's their loss and your next employer's gain. You'll find something soon i'm sure.

that sucks dude, best of luck to you.
i see that you are in the US. in canada, if you have been with the company for over three months, they have to give you 1 week notice. if they make you leave before, they still have to pay you for that full week. if you have been with the company for over year, the same thing applies, except 2 weeks notice is mandatory

Thanks guys. I am located in Southeast Michigan, in Ann Arbor. If anyone knows about any opportunities, please do let me know. I have been pissed as hell about this, and a bit depressed, and hopefully this wont really keep me from making gains, although I'm sure it will. The main thing that's hurt is my appetite. I used to be able to eat 5 times a day easily, but now that is very difficult.....almost impossible. I may have to turn the current bulker cycle into a cutter :(.

I also talked to some ppl there at work. Apparently they let like 4-5 ppl go, and they were all done in a similar way, I believe. It's really sick, but that's the harsh reality of life, I guess. At least I spoke to my parents, and they've been really supportive.

I'll be on all day, figure I'll go do some more job apps now. Oh also, what kinds of restaurants are good to work at (Tips, etc?).

Oh, one more question bro's. I JUST started my enanth/deca/d-bol cycle last week (One inject, and have been taking d-bol since last monday). I'm wondering if it would be alright to stop this cycle right now, w/ doing minimal or none PCT? I don't think I can have the diet or intensity at this very moment to make massive gains. Just wondering what the consequences, if any, there will be.

Thanks.

If it was me, I think you are probably right to stop until you can devote yourself to it like you had planned. I don't know your cycle amounts, but with only 1 inject, you shouldnt be too bad with no recovery. The Deca hasnt had enough to build up anyway yet. I would take the dbol though, 10mg first thing am for a week and then forget it. Thats my .o2.
Unless you usually get repressed really quickly, I wouldnt think you will suffer too much.

I'm sorry to hear that. When I got fired from my last job I was also in the middle of a divorce and down to 150lbs. I thought it was over for me. Long story short, 2 days later I met (who would become) my new wife, she helped me go back to school get the best paying job I've ever had (4 years here now), gave me a beautiful daughter and (thanks to you guys) I'm in the best shape of my life! Life has never been so good to me.

I've often thought I should go back and thank the person who fired me. Instead, I'm just thankful.

Look at this as an opportunity to better yourself and challange yourself in new ways.

Best of luck!

But now you have the time to train real good... if you can just about pay for food and living, this might be the best little break you could have... Unless you have high outgoings and lot of debt, you might enjoy a few months of training with no work worries..

Well, I think I'll keep training. I do have alot of debts, however, mostly from college. But I think that moving back home is the best bet right now. It will royally suck, because my hometown is really crappy, and I'll have to live w/ my 'rents, but it's really worth it, and I can take all my time to study for the MCAT's and train like a bull. Just hoping that I don't fall back into the trap of drinking alot and stuff (I had a problem w/ that a couple years ago when I had some major problems in life.......which seemed to be fixed when I discovered the gym).

Cooperate America

That is "Cooperate America" for you. They are the biggest scumbags, and have the least decency, when it comes down to stuff of this nature. Always,..."Always"... they pass the buck to the other guy, and he passes it to another one,...so on, ect... This is common, especially when terminations come into play in a cooperate atmosphere. It is a fucking disgrace. You may find out you are being fired (for whatever BS reason) after 30 or more people know about it, since nobody wants to tell you, and pass it off to the other guy down the cooperate ladder.

My advice bro....

Act like everyday there is your best day. Smiles, happy, an all that BS.

Be nice, but tell nobody about your personal life. The least personal/friendly the better. If put into an awkward position,...lie. It's fun, plus whatever they think they know about you is bullshit anyway. Whadda' they going to do,....fire you cause' your personal life did not pan out from what you told whomever? (laughs) This way nobody can use anything against you. I would stay silent, or just lie about my personal life.

Lie about anything you think you can get away with. Be smart about it though.(be sure you can prove, and/or have a witness if needed in some situations if comes to that)

Always,..."Always" be out to further your own agenda. Fuck the company. Tell them whatever they want to hear to get the job, then if they fall into this catagory of cooperate shitbags,... fuck them, you owe them no loyalty. They will drop you like yesterday's news. Do yourself a favor, and do whatever you can get away with to make your job easier, and least amount of hastle. If you find a better opportunity,...go for it. Fuck em'.

It's sad, that things have gotten this bad in the workplace/regressed. I consider myself a trustworthy, nice guy, but you would not think of it reading my post above. I did have to learn the hard way, about most cooperate settings. A very few this does not apply to. If you are one of the lucky few, that is rare. Going back like 40 years or so, people had pride in their jobs, they respected, and had some built up trust for their employers. Not now. Now, the bottom line is dollars for the Company, and that is fine. But it has shown that this type of mentality nowadays, that is prominent, has it, that they will do "whatever" means neccessary to further the company, and would/can/do screw their employees at will. All this, to make the employee feel that they can be replaced anytime, should consider themselves lucky to have a job, and scared shitlless of saying anything, for fear of being terminated. Along with this....a few gems like Enron & Worldcom come to mind. Those scumbags basically screwed thousands over, and we all know they got away with it. Times are changing,....we have to change with them,...even if they are not changing for the better. Look out for yourself. It would be nice though,...one day if the workplace reverted back to the days when people and their employers could work with a mutual respect for eachother, and all this shit was behind us. (lol) Maybe in the Matrix....

(laughs) In case you sensed any hostility... I worked for Merck for a long time,.... and I know how these jerkoffs operate.

Good Luck.

I dispise Cooperate America.

Damn, that sucks! Here its the law that if you have been working with the company for a year, they have to give you three months notice, or pay you three months severance on the spot. Law.

Another reason I don't miss the states. I hope you get a job with their competitor and crush them like the repugnant puss they are.

yea I more or less agree whole heartedly with body temple, i've been without serious work for a little over two years now - once you get a little older you do not want to be dependent on these corporate fucks if you can help it - the execs will do anything to keep their country club status and maintain their wealth in company stock, by satisfying the gamblers on wall street. if u aint at the c-level you are just a cog in their machine, and for the youngins out there gunnin for those top spots just remember there are always many more indians than chiefs. don't swallow the BS hook line and sinker. the most succesful people I know dropped out of college and started their own businesses. as compared to me with the MBA and now pursuing more education, to hopefully free myself from the corporate chains

Wanted to kinda update ya'll on what's going on now. I'm still applying for jobs wholeheartedly, and I spoke w/ my parents for a few hours over the holiday weekend, and I've kinda decided that I'm going to go full speed on studying for my MCAT's which I'll take in April. Hopefully I find something by then, but if not, that is all I'll be working on. Haven't trained seriously in almost a week and a half (kinda depressed, and the couple workouts I did have weren't very fullfilling). I remember someone saying this is primarily due to cortisol levels. Any ideas on how to lower them? I've already lost like 11-12 lbs since this all went down, and my appetite is still pretty shitty. The green stuff should help w/ the apetite, along w/ some B-12, but I was wondering if any of ya'll had ideas about lowering cortisol.

And yea, corporate America (at least here in Southeast Michigan) really sucks ass.
