I don't know if this is normal but everytime I work back my biceps seem like they are handling a large amount of the load. after I get done with my routine My BI's are pumped really well but my back is not. I've been told to isolate and concentrate on my back but I still feel like the bi's are doing to much any advice would be much appreciated....

this sounds kind of weird but pull with elbows first.hard to explain ,but when you do your latpulldowns,rows,etc....lead with elbows.....hard for me to explain, just like when you do your latpulldowns...grab the bar thumbless and pull straight down (pulling with elbows)...probaly confused you more than anything....hahahah......

i have 2 suggestions........... (one goes along with heavyware and the mann)

1........... stretch your lats before your workout........ grab an vertical pole.......... push your butt back and stretch..... this will let you know when your back is being worked during the exercise or not....... no pain........ then your biceps are being pumped again.

2......... just like what the guys above said........... think of your hands as hooks and your elbows as levers............... your hands should only hold the weight like a hook.......... think that and it will help to not flex the biceps......... think (even though your pulling) of pushing your elbows back.......... go slow and this will help concentrate........ try it and let us know

i have the cure for this but you need someone to help you, if for example your doing lat pull down have someone stand behind you and put a little upward preasure on your elbows don't focus on monving the weight focus on pushing there hands down with your elbows, envision that the weight is not coming from the stack but from the resistance they are pushing against your elbows, doesn't need to be much just enough that you can feel them, it will work with everything seated cable rows single arm d.b. rows, however if your helper is a guy and your a guy i wouldn't sugest using this for bent over rows or t-bar rows as it may look like your either getting pluged in the but or goin for extra protien in the front
p.s. use your normal work out weight

Like it was said before. Pull through your elbows to maximize lats involvement and minimize arm involvement.
