Awesome training board ideas....

I know there have been some cool ideas here in the past wanted to see where some of them are at-

One was to profile members of the board, originally set "issues" to occur every week, though I think maybe 2x a month would work better? Has this been dropped? It would be awesome and eliminate a lot of newbie questions (how long will it take me to get huge) and allow people who are new to see (and some who are not) what someone might know and what their area of expertise is, their background, and things they have been through, etc....

I also thought it might be cool to have a book/resources review sticky... there are lots of books that I think look good, but I would like to hear what people who have read them think...
It could also review people to periodicals, websites, etc, that specialize in a particular training technique/interest?
I think it could point people to more in depth sources of information and raise the level of interaction on the board overall.

Just some thoughts...

I think that's a great idea. Once a week might be a bit much, true, but twice a month might be managable...?

Cyberpump! used to do something like this, back when it was free. They'd do profiles on lifters from all over the world, asking them questions about their lifting background, PRs, funny stories, etc. I think they called it "Steel Spiel."

It was pretty fun to read the lifting history of someone like Ken Leistner. I KNOW there are tons of members here who would be interesting to read about.

Louden is a good example. His stories about trying to match a high school lifter's PRs in the sub 135 lb. class were really cool. Body By Finaplix would make a great one. He's only been training for three and a half years and started at something like 30% bodyfat, but now he's strong as a freaking ox and has a very good physique.

The possibilities are endless!
