Conservatives (commonly, Republicans) are generally for the death penalty but against abortions.
Liberals (commonly, Democrats) are generally for abortion, and against the death penalty.
Both sides agree on murder, they just can't agree on the timing. I say it's all a matter of semantics.
Let's call the death penalty, "abortion of the 94th trimester" for example, and we can call abortions, "preliminary crime preventions". Thus we satisfy both parties. Many issues have similar resolutions, we just need to be more creative.
