There's a lot of people banking on there being no God. Some of them probably visit here I would venture to say. They are the con and scam artists that would cheat an old lady out of her last nickel. And you know what, if some of them were allowed to live for eternity, they would keep on doing the same thing. Harming people to their own gain. How could God allow any such persons to enter into eternal bliss?
 
the people who go from non belief to finding god later in life are the ones that end up being the biggest fanatics about it.

That is probably correct. That is because of what it took for most of us to believe. We have seen. Never would I have believed in the one true God on my own account using rationalization. Doesn't work that way.

So someone that doesn't believe in 'God' is a con-artist? That's a load of you know what. There are millions of people that don't believe in 'God' or follow organized religion and are some of the most righteous people around. Why wouldn't 'God' allow such people to enter the supposed eternal bliss?

Nobody has been able to answer that question yet although I have posed variations of it several times. Don't give me some nonsense about you have to submit to Christ or it won't happen. Look inside yourself and tell me if you think that's right. The most pious and good person is denied entrance to 'eternal bliss' simply because they don't follow Christianity? Horseshit.

I´m not banking on anything...

I don´t actually sin too much, other than not believing and having premarital sex.



The main thing that would change would be motivations, not really actions.

Be Christian or whatever you want but don't become a self-righteous, prejudice, judgemental prick who thinks as long as you believe in Jesus and say things with a smile on your face you're better than others. You are certainly developing a stereotypical holier-than-thou attitude. The way you speak and your attitude is very UN-Jesus like.

thats the problem with most people.believers and non believers.thy all think you have to do something to get into even.no one will get into eternal bliss by himself.no matter how righteous he is or isnt.If a man says I am a good person so I should get into heaven.he is one a lier because every one has some thing that they do that is wrong.just saying I should get into heaven because bla bla.means you have set a standerd to get into heaven and who are you to set the standerd.and if there is a heaven then where did it come from.how can you say there is no god because there is no proof but then say Iam going to heaven how do you know you have know proof.is it just because you say so.that would make you god.so if there is a heaven then the only thing that would explane how it got ther would be god and if he is the one who made heaven if it his party that we are to attand then isnt it fare to say that he gets to pick who he wants to be his gaust.so then where do we find out the criteria on how to become a guest.do we all just invite ourselves.the only thing we have that is proof that there is a party to attand is the bible.so the awnser must be in there then right.so go read it and see if youre on the list if you beleave in heaven or god if you dont then I gass youre not on the list.to bad for you........................

I never said I'm going to heaven or that there should be a standard. The only ones that have said there is a standard are the religious folk.

i.e. you need to believe in God and accept Jesus Christ to enter eternal bliss

My comments are similiar to what you seem to be saying in that it is nonsensical for a human to set a standard for entrance into 'heaven' assuming there is a deity of some kind who 'watches over us'. It is beyond bizarre why anyone would 'submit' to a God that allegedly will only reward those that blindly accept him. Does 'God' then punish good people and those that can think for themselves?

I've been told about a billion times (and it's been posted dozens) that you need to accept Christ to be able to gain entrance to 'heaven'. No matter how wonderful a person you are, no matter how much more righteous you may be than some religious peeps, if you don't accept Christ : no 'heaven'. That sounds like a rule doesn't it?

I'd like to know if Jesus taught this, and also if biteme and needtogetas believe we do.

funk@wangnalls standard dictionary says.
religios,a person with a object of consientious devotion or scrupulous care.I.E.his work is a religion to him.
or like you allways talking about religion and god.you dont even know that youre being "religious" :evil: .
ps you know I dident make it up.I spelled it right :)
