i have just started taking ECA stack and i have just developed a urinary tract infection,, are these two related and or what can i do about it

I am no doctor, but not to my knowledge. Cranberry juice is supposed to be good for that. (Of course, go see a doc and get a script to clear the infection up.)

I am not a doctor either but my boyfriend is ;) and I have been told to make sure I pee after sex (I'm assuming to help prevent infection)

I have never had an infection so I guess it works *knocks on wood*

PS The OB/GYN is NEVER closed! Call him/her today! If you do not get results today...get a new doctor!

my two cents

Hi bondgirl,

I had a lovely bout with UTI after a long plane ride this summer...sitting down for long periods of time and dehydration are both causes of uti's, and my glass of wine with the plane dinner along with the seven hour trip gave me a good dose of both. The doctor that I saw once I got there (this was in England--I must say one of the most highly effective health care systems I've ever seen!!) he actually "prescribed" cranberry juice and some mild antibiotics...You can even get cranberry pills if you get sick of drinking all that cranberry juice. It clears up pretty fast, but if you have blood in your urine, you should see a doctor on Monday.

I don't think that the ECA stack would have caused it, but I don't know anything about a connection there. I usually take an ECA, about two weeks at a time, but I wasn't taking one at the time. Anyway, obviously I'm not a doctor, but thought this would help.

You can obtain a UTI medication over the counter at any drug store. Watch out if your not careful it stains your undies.THere may be some link between eca stack and UTI. I take a cranberry pill and urinate after sex to avoid UTI.
