Are my BCAA's junk?

Wel from what i've read i could get all my BCAA's i would need from my protein shakes. Well I just bought more protein and i also bought Optimum Nutrition's Amino Acid free form caps.

So since i'm going to use these anyways should i take them pre-work out? Are BCAA's worth taking at all if you already have protein powder?
 
Take your BCAA's before you train(about 30-60minutes before)
and then again after you train. On your non-workout days, take them with meals.
I would definitely continue with your protein powder and there is no harm in taking extra BCAA's as they do help restore nitrogen balance in the body.
 
Big Red, if it makes you feel any better, I use BCAA's along with my protein shakes. You can never get enough of a good thing. I don't know if it's all in my head or not, but I think that I have more energy when I use them on a consistant basis. Mind you, i do use a lot of glutamine as well so it's hard to tell which one I'm feeling. Nonetheless, I do take BCAA's as well.
 
bcaas work well for me when cutting...try taking 20 caps spread out through your workout...this helps me hold onto lbm when i'm dieting...
