Fuckin A - as if searching for a place to live in a highly competitive environment isn't stressful enough, try having to do it in like 8 total hours.
For the natives - checked out some small 4-unit type joints arund PB. A few in Crown Point - no thanks. Saw a couple smaller units closer to the beach - 5,6 blocks or so. The locale is fucking tit, but the places are not up to par for me. More like just out of college joints. Since I have to work from home, this won't do. Plus they obviously charge a premium for the locale so they can suck my East Coast hairy EyeTie balls.

Best thus far is porbably Avalon, which I actually lived in years ago in CT. About 3 blocks from the Bay and a mile or so from the main beach stretch. Not bad at all. Lots of ammenities that I never really had since I aloways lived in small apartments - sick gym, tennis courts, etc, etc. And I don't know if they pay em or not, but the fucking chicks out by the pool made my spermies all happy like.

didn't I tell you PB was ghetto?

try wind n sea or bird rock (just a crawl north of PB). Avalon seems cool too.

lol bro you are looking for places in my hood. I own this place man.

Here is my setup.

1 roomate, 34 year old software engineer. Good friend of mine. Owns the home bitches.

1.1 million dollar home, steps from the beach AND the bay, right on the border of Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

I pay $950 per month, for that I get
-private entrance
- large room 12' x 18' with private attached bath, two person shower, two closets, hardwood floors.
-GARAGE PARKING.
-1 Guest spot, shared with roommate.
-home is 3 total stories. Brand new kitchen with custom lighting throughout common areas.
Two patios, one with gas BBQ off house gas line, the other large with table and stools, perfect for chilling, smoking, and enjoying the day.
- Patio off my bedroom with palmn trees, and chairs.
- 8 bikes, mostly beach cruisers for heading out with friends
- guest bathroom. plenty of couch space, dining room with table and 4 chairs
- roommate has bed and bath on 3rd story, lots of privacy for both of us.
- walking and bike riding distance to dozens of bars and restuarants, grocery store, coffee shop, anything and everything.

Moving here was one of the best decisions of my life.

Oh and for anyone who is interested, we've got volleyball kicking off at 10:30am Sunday morning. Celebrate father's day by getting some exercise, he'd be proud, plus I'm sure he'd want you to enjoy the sun and bikinis as well. I'll have the net and lines setup, supply a radio, some chairs, beer and waters. See you out there.

any place near the water will be 30 yrs old. You don't really find big apt complexes in the beach areas. I gots to have my onsite laundry at least.
this house was built in 2000 from ground up, not a remodel.

lol @ all San Diego dudes looking the same. East Coast glue spikes stick out like a sore thumb, talk about a pretty uniform look!

That is incredible; everything is so expensive here you struck gold :) Sounds like a beautiful place to spend a life..
