me and a few guys from a small gym i train at are wanting to pool together some money and buy a digital video camera....

im looking for a cheap digital video camera that we can just use to record our lifts. and eventually upload them onto a site similar to Irish Powers.

So, if anyone, knows any type, or any where, i can get a cheap digital camera (preferebly around 300 $ or less, if possible) please say so.

look in local newspapers for flyers from staples or whatever..i know around here there's a bunch of good ones for under 300...i think i remember somebody saying to be decent quality that had to have something like over 2.0 pixels? something like that...i'm not good with stuff like this..

oh! those things! my parents have one so i'm sure they're cheap enough..and the quality is pretty good on this one

Well you can always try e-bay. You'll find literally thousands of them on there.. You can also try pawn shops...

Deceive,

Even with any standard digital camera you can shoot short 1 minute avi clips and upload them to the pc. They have sound also. The only thing is the mini disk in the camera will get used up after each little video clip so you would have to upload it, and then erase it to do another one. If you want a full fledge digital video camera, your going to spend bucks old friend.

Deceiver,

All you need is a regular video camera and then an ATI all in wonder video card. (Or any other video card with audio/ video imputs.

You can take regular videos/ home comcorder stuff, tv shows, etc, and digitally record them to your PC. It' s very east and the video cards run between $100-$150 on Ebay.

I've got a JVC digital camcorder that was around $600. Bought it because it has the 1394 connection, which is much faster than conventional capture. Better quality too.

The solution that AnimalMass recommends also would work. I've got an All-In-Wonder that's worked great for me, but it's a little more finicky.

Capturing vids off the JVC is super easy.

i dont want to use a digital camera as the video quality blows which i s clearly demonstarted in these videos..

Animal mas.. i have a voodoo 3500 Tv out video card w/ an external pod on it.. so i can send feeds to and from my computer.. i was thinking about trying that, but i am not sure what kind of files they would be compressed into, and how much room they would take up..

600$ is way to much.. im a 15 year old kid, i make mininum wage, i like money and it likes me.. i hate to see it go.
