Anyone use or have used Retin A??

yo i used retin a, along with just about every outher acne product available, and i hated it. my acne got really bad at first, than it cleared up a little but my skin turned soo red and flaked like crazy. the constant peeling of my skin hurt like hell. after several weeks my doc took me off it and i continued to try products. that was like 2 years ago. to this day i still have acne, still see a doc and am really dissapointed with the products on the market.

used it for a few months...worked alright
eventually had to go on accutane, now its all good

accutane is a bitch though.

Been using Retin A since Feb. of this year. Initially you will have some soreness and peeling/flaking/dryness, but deal with it...after 2 or 3 weeks it was gone and I had near perfect skin again. I also had an oral antibiotic I used for a few weeks at the beginning of treatment. Now I only use the Retin A cream about 4 days a week and I'm good. Don't give up...the first couple of weeks will suck because it's removing a layer of skin, but after that, you'll be happy. Don't over apply it...just a tiny bit, enough to barely cover your skin will be enough. Find a good moisturizer with a sunblock in it. I remember driving in the sun those first couple of weeks and the pain was surprisingly bad.

I liked the Retin-A-Micro better than the cream...jmho.

At least at your age it's covered under medical insurance. I'm 36 and it's not...my ins. co. doesn't cover it if your over 25...what a load of BS! One little tube is almost $100.

well i get it for $10 a bottle, if you want i can get you a bunch of it for half of what your paying for it. Msg me and we can talk
