Anyone still watching the walking dead?

No kidding! Maybe Carol will kill Pete?!? Next week should be good!
 
I saw the sneak peek for the finale next week and I love the Carol bits I saw. Go Carol! Love her character now.

However, wtf are they doing with this whole Pete bit honestly? Why does Rick care? That woman is married who cares leave them alone. Who cares if she dies?! The dynamic with that woman isn't one of abuse and she's a big girl if she wants to leave she can. I'd love for Carol to mess around with Pete a bit and terrorize him, maybe kill him I'm okay with it but I don't really want Rick killing someone because he *might* do something in the future especially over some woman he just met. He's a leader, Carol has a score to settle. Rick has turned into Shane in almost every way possible, which Rick has never really had a solid strong character or the integrity of Dale so I'm not surprised it happened eventually.

I agree philosophically with the idea that civilized people don't do things like that while admitting that it would be nice to wipe out abusive individuals from the gene pool when you have the chance, but no person ought to have that kind of power over another. Inside the walls you can attain higher living than out with the walkers and the things you need to do to survive are different. That is why the Alexandrians don't work well outside the walls. This is nothing to look down on imo. If Rick wants to act like uncivilized and crazy he needs to go back out with the walkers, and die with them if need be. We evolved with cooperation because cooperation with others keeps you alive. There's no glory in living and killing among the walkers.

IMO Rick has always been very human and fallible and makes a lot of mistakes. Not saying he's not a good person because he is a good person. I just think he's not that admirable outside his humanness. Deanna is a better leader for the people inside the walls than Rick. Now they have no doctor. That seems like a big deal in a place like that. If Rick hand't come along Pete would still be doing surgeries and smacking around his wife and people would still be alive. If anything why couldn't they let Carol kill him? Dumb.

They know it. Deep down, the ones that know they don't deserve to be there are going mad. Their guilt is driving them mad. Rick is one of them. There was a lot of "shit" out there that Rick knows about but I think that Deanna was right and her innovative glimpse into the future that she had planned was something that could happen and was possible. But not if Rick has anything to do with it, it will never get there. I haven't read the comics but this whole thing has no hope unless someone can begin to pick up the pieces and start something that is actually going to work. Our brains don't work like..okay...Rick's brain is functioning differently from Deanna's and the people that have been inside the walls. If your'e worried about being killed by walkers and don't have a place to sleep each night you aren't ever gong get past it because your primitive brain is the one running the show. Not much different from the walkers actually. See where I'm going? Its not Ricks way of life that needs preserving. It's Deannas plan for the future. He's trying to turn everyone into him. Carol calls them children, but they are actually the children. They just can't see it.

I kind of was too, although I'm not sure what I was expecting. It seems like the spent a lot of time setting the stage for next season.

I realized reading this that I watch it purely to escape and haven't been thinking too much! LOL I agree with what you're saying. Even the Father is feeling it and going crazy. When Sasha was out and laying in the grave of walkers she had dug too, you realized how much she was struggling. I did think after how quickly Deanna changed her mind when it was her hubby who got killed. I wish Rick hadn't shot him like he did though.

Cindy, do you watch Game of Thrones? We'll need a new show to debrief for the summer!

No am I able to catch up with Netflix?? Is it good? I Need something to watch!
 
It is pretty good. I didn't think I'd like it but I got hooked pretty quickly. It's one of those shows, though, that you have to start at the beginning or it won't make sense. I always download them :( lol
