Anyone know whats involved in running an internet porn site?

Im kicking around business ideas now that I have a shitload of time and I know sex always sells no matter what. So whats involved with becoming successful with adult websites such as this startup site: www.AdultStartups.com | Adult Business Opportunity Center (that url is work safe)
Apparently everything is taken care of for you when you buy their turnkey packages for around a grand, all that you do is promote the site. So I guess the question is what are the best ways to promote that sort of thing?

If you don't have a niche / fetish crowd, you are not going to see anything.

Friend of mine has a website just for feet. He hires guys to come over and let him photograph their feet. No nudity, no dicks, nothing. Just feet in a variety of settings.

He doesn't have a very big client base, only about 1000-2000 members at any given time, but for $19.95 per month, that is a nice little paycheck for doing nothing else but spending one day a week photoing new feet. He pays the guys who model their feet $350 per session.
