If your blood sugar level is 180 on a blood test....anything else that could make it that high besides being diabetic? :worried:

Eating poorly and high glycemic index/load foods would aid in the process of raising your blood glucose

well tomorrow he is going to have the 3 hour glucose test done....which sucks cause we had a HOT night planned! Ibet he will be tired from all the sugar lol

Corticosteroid use will do it, as well as excess HGH. Several other prescription medications (Dilantin, Lasix, triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide), also, apparently niacin will do it (I never knew that).

180 is pretty high but anything that wasn't done fasting doesn't really count, especially if he just had consumed something very high glycemic.

That is what i told him too..so tomorrow he has the 3 hour sugar test...he is in great health no meds...weight is low 165 at 5'11...blood pressure normal.......but he was having these feelings of being really flush and his head burning since october

Is he taking like really high B vitamins??? That sounds just like a niacin flush.

He takes nothing.....but that is what it sounds like to me too....but the dr, said the high sugar would explain it.....
