anyone into fishing?

Catfish and Crappie...preferably catfish, though.

I love relaxing with a six pack and just watching the line all night....

By Fishing you mean getting a case of dynamite, hitting the middle of the lake, watching the big water spout from the underwater boom, and then collecting the fish. Well yes, then I'm into fishing!!!

What's wrong with TUNA????
I just hate getting my but up so early to get on the boat and freeze my rump off in the process.

Always wanted to try to catch a bluefish though....

Rainbow trout. My parents have a cabin on a little stream in the mountains that I get a chance to use a couple times a summer. Good times.

I like to fish but the Damn Game fisherman have screwed things up in Texas, it's not worth it cause the All mighty game wardens are on everyones ass....I refuse to pay for a fishing or hunting license so needless to say I dont go often

i fish for salmon in bronte park and hamilton harbor, its great freezing your ass off in november waiting to catch a 40lbs fish

So Ranger,

Lets say I were to offer a Tarpon trip this fall...you wouldn't take me up on it?

Fly rod on the florida flats....ummm think about it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Well you can't live in Minnesota and not ever fish. Its been awhile but when I do, I fish for Muskie

Tarpon, bluefish and redfish...lots of fun! So is any species of marlin, although I've personally never landed one (no yelling of "fish on!!" for this fellow yet). Wahoo are a blast off the coast of Mexico.

Largemouth bass are worth the time and effort. Plus they don't have teeth like a pike or walleye to contend with. Muskie when I was younger were awesome, but I haven't had the time lately.

I'm going to charter a trip for some heavy duty stuff pretty soon. I'm seeking my first marlin big time.

Never tried it Cleaner...seen it on TV....I usually hike back in the Mountains and go for the Native/Brookis....it's a challenge, but well worth it...:)

I haven't been in a while, but I like to go out on the reefs for grouper and snapper. Dolphin fishing is pretty fun too. Hopefully, I'll have a boat someday...

Used to fly fish for trout (sometimes just west of you in the Big Thompson Canyon). Now I live (as you can see) in Texas. Haven't gotten a bait casting set up yet, but probably will for this fall and winter bass fishing.

You guys sound like you have access to some good fishing. I live in Colorado and to tell you the truth, I am kind of burned out on trout. I am raising a blue gill in my aquarium, and that fish is bad ass. I got a couple monsters yesterday, but I am not sure it wasn't a large green sunfish. it had a pretty big mouth compared to most blues but it looked damn near the same. I want to get into some big cats, that is cool shit.

Surf Fishin Exclusively. The beauty of surf fishin is:
It combines fishing, with Hot women watchin.

I call It funneling.

Setup a beach chair in the sand about 5 ft out of the waterline.
Then cast and set your pole in a holder in the water just inside the breaker line, about 10 ft away from your chair.
The honeys come walkin down the beach, see your pole and line and are forced to walk right in front of your chair.
Of course, your sitting there and they ALWAYS want to ask how's it going, and stop and chat.

My wife comes down and tries to move my shit and I raise hell... :D

Ranger,

Its trout fishing on steriod!

You'll need at least a 9 foot 8 weight rod and at least 300 yards of backing. With all that you'll still have to use the boat to chase them down. If your lucky you'll land one in an hour better plan on two.

The thing is that its sight fishing just like trout!
Well at least that my main way of fishing for trout.

trout in a stocked mountain stream on the Indian Reservation. Nothing more relaxing than camping and fishing. Last three day weekend I went up and pulled 45 fish out. Most people have no idea that Arizona has mountains and rivers, lakes etc.... Hell we can go water skiing and snow skiing in the same day.

sad to say, the only fishing i've done lately is at winn dixie or super wal-mart........just doesn't taste the same as freshly caught fish!!

MP, how' the job treating ya? management still assholes?

I guess my Sage, 8ft. 4 weight rod with a 18X tippet is a little small eh Cleaner.....

8 weight....It'd be like casting a log compared to what I'm used to...hahahahahhahahahaha...:D

I like fishing for pike and bass for fun. Panfish, perch, salmon and catfish for eats.

I was hitting huge pike in Northern Michigan last week on Mepps #4 spinners.
