I have a treadmill at home. I really wanted a Precor, but they are too damn expensive. I still go to the gym a lot so I wasn't about to spend over 2K on home cardio equipment.

I miss my treadmill... I used it when I had it but that was when running had a purpose lol.

Precor is known for their ellipticals, not treadmills. Most Precor treads are not worth the hassle or price. not to mention the 9.2 series isn't even made by Precor or in the US like the 9.3 series ($3700+).

The VP is gone. They merged a couple of regions, fired a DM, and eliminated another Dm position. I've been speculating that the their next step will be to start clipping the smaller stores. But I'm not worried. My store rocks. And if they do go under they will auction off regions one chunk at a time. My DM has been through 3 buyouts and somehow keeps getting promotions. Its hilarious.
Of course all of this is based on the false assumption that the entire US economy isn't going to tank. In which case none of it matters anyway cause no one is going to be buying workout equipment when it does. But I'm debt free so I just think its all really funny.

Thats their problem, trying to grow too fast. Happens every time, open a ton of stores in a matter of a few years then the slightest bump in the road can send you under. At least they are trying to address it now. You're in a good industry though, there can be a ton of money if you know what you're doing.

Proper ergonomics are important. Most people don't realize that when they go out of their way to avoid treadmills cause they don't want the impact and buy an elliptical, if it has poor ergonomics its every bit as bad for your joints if not worse. At least a treadmill allows you to move as nature intended. Ellipticals can be very restricting when not made right.

yeh I bought mine online straight from the Life Fitness manufacturer, shipped in 2 days, put it in my basement, installed free. Works awesome

Wifey has one of them Precor Elliptical thingys. She used to use it a lot. Hasn't used it since she's been pregnant and since having the baby (16 days ago). But, I'm sure she'll get back on it before long.

Ya but I refuse to sell them. I tell people that they suck ass right off the bat. I do use them as upsells though. I show folks just how cheesy they are and they usually buy the good stuff. Unless of course they are genuine a genuine broke ass. Then I'll sell it to them but I know that there is about an 80% chance I'll have to deal with a stinking warranty claim.
You guys carry Hoist don't you? At least if I remember correctly BB did. You guys floor the PTS3 ensemble? That thing is pretty bad ass.

The V6 is pretty sweet, I like some of the changes Hoist made last year. With the dual action smith it has its advantages, unfortunately BodyCraft beat them to the punch with the locking mechanism that allows you to turn it into a standard smith, then back to dual action. But on the flip side, Hoists bar rotates while the BodyCraft doesn't, so you could do pretty much anything with the Hoist including curls.
