Anyone ever use DXM??

I got a question, im the type that I freak out on drugs usually, especially if not in the right environment. Tried shrooms once and totally freaked, thought i was having a heart attack, my chest was pounding. Happened to me one other time i make herb brownies and ate tad to much. and also everytime i do yayo i think everyone in the place wants to kill me. :worried:...i should stay away from such a trippy drug shouldnt i?...i have a feeling i;ll freak out and think im dying.

Sounds like my reactions to my use limited use of all those drugs thats why I just stuck with beer while partying a depressant.
You know yourself best so any decision should be made from whats best for you. Yeah it can be very trippy experience, but those descriptions were for far higher doses than most people take an only for experienced user. 354 mg 1 small four oz bottle of robitussin max strength is what Id recommend for a noob who might be concerned and then slowly add a lil more so that you dont feel overwhelmed with the feeling on your next second experience, its a mellow feeling and you are still in control. I took 250mg just for appetite suppressant while dieting and hardly felt anything that could ever possibly freak me out. Just more relaxed with an enhanced sense of well being. Youd have to decide for yourself ulitmately. It is a powerful drug conversely at high doses, but for me I could take 2500mg and still be in control and not think Im dying. :rainbow: :rainbow:

Yup 8 oz will give you moderate trip level 1 trip. It contains 708mg of dxm.
It should be taken on an empty stomach to aid absorption rates and for me anywhere from 40min to an hour.

It peaks about 3 hours and then slowly declines and then for me it would stop fairly dramatically and average length is accepted at 6 hours

Set up a comfortable environment as I described in your living room, music the like... and plan to stay there the duration. SHould be no probs and good mellow experience with times of incredible knowledge and understanding, just have to experience to understand what we all mean about that. Let us know how it works out for ya

Yeah, Lumbergs right go for the small bottle for the first time if you want to take a cautious approach, 354mg. Although you may think big deal afterwards. Or get the big bottle drink half and then drink a lil more every hour til you get to where you are satisfied with how youre doing. I dont know you or tolerance or curiousity level so a more conservative approach with lower dose and titrating up to a higher dose might be the only way to answer this. Your call! Just depends at what you want to experience for the first time. Either way, enjoy. The big bottle dose will still keep you level 1 plateau and vitrtually all firsttimers can handle it. Its hard to tell someone what dose to take it. Its all about how much of a trip they want so its judgement call. I think someone that has used psychedelics before can go up to 1000mg for the first time, theyre kids in school who take that much so I dont think its that big of a deal. But I recommended if youre the type that presumes youll freak then start with a lower dose and just find your happy point as you add more and more.

Any of the thread contributors watch the South Park DXM episode where they were in the school's news class and they did an expose on cough medicine use. Was hilarious when they showed what the trip looked like to the Stan and Butters and the others... was a coupla of things that were true so they must have tripped themselves, most were just put in for comedic value. They mustve.
If you missed it the whole town was on cough syrup. They even ran into Mr Garrison at the pharmacy. I about died when I saw it.
 
i woulnd't recommend robotripping read up on some horror stories on it and it will make you think twice if you get dxm pure on the other hand different stories

doesn't matter if its the powder or the syrup, its the same chemical

**just make sure if you mess with this that the ONLY active ingredient is the dextro

word. the robotripping horror stories are of people who took syrup that has multiple ingredients.

Cant agree more read, the the f-ing label. Dextromethorphan only. Robitussin max strength, thats the brand name if youre smart enough to read ingredients' labels then you could go with store generic if available. Dont take a bottle of Nyquil the tylenol load is too great. Ive taken DXM with guafenisin and that screws up your body high, at least it did last time I remember, makes you jittery. SO for the novice go with the tussin if unsure. Coricidin cough and cold and use the extraction process Ive listed earlier in the thread if you want, but since this thread has had over 600 readers now I dont want the rare indiv. to react to the antihistamine (dang),,, or just order the pure stuff online for 10g/40$.
A beginner just keep it simple to see if you like it go with the liquid cough syrup dxm pure i.e. robotussin. Some get the robo-itch from reaction to the dyes and binders in it so have benadrl on hand just in case, I never got this but once and wasnt bad, just itchy but itching can be fun too LOL get a loofa sponge and have it. And if prone to throwing I just read that some report that meclizine(dramamine) helps prevent that, but were not talking rocket science here:keep it simple b/c it is. Oh its a must, when they start tripping Butters is walking funny like real stiff and, oh it was hilarious!! Stan had these incredible visuals. I mean those guys had to have high dosed tripped to get those visuals so accurate just a few of them though but too distinct. Then theyre all just mellowed out in front of the TV all stoned. LMAO. Cartman plays the crack investigative reporter who presents the childrens shocking expose via the schools closed circuit network. They end up getting the whole school and town off of cough medicine. I believe it was the latest season. Didnt really notice.

Werent you talking earlier about walking like Johnny Depp in that one movie when you took 700mg hahahaa!! Describe that and how long it lasted, I was in a parking lot outside of a friends apartment one time and it was like my leg just became part of the ground. Couldnt take another step for what seemed like minutes, but prolly just one minute. Its heeelarious to me when that stuff happens. Just have to wait it out. haha!

Synopsis

South Park Elementary has a closed circuit television network. Jimmy and "Rick" Cartman are the anchors for "Super School News." Stan reports on school lunches, Butters covers the celebrity watch, Token does the weather and Kyle covers sports. They think they've been doing a great job, but the school is canceling their program since it has only gotten a 4 share (4 people watched it all week.) The school is in favor of Craig's show "Animals Close-Up With a Wide-Angle Lens" because it is cheaper to produce and is getting a 57 share in the ratings. Their advisor tells them that kids don't care about the news, they don't find it exciting. The boys are at a restaurant mourning the loss of their show when Craig comes in and they see all the success it has given him. Kenny is working with Craig on his show, as Cartman wouldn't let him participate in their news show. Stan tells the others that they need to figure out how to make their show better. The hold a meeting and come up with idea to rename their show the "Sexy Action News" and they should make up news stories and add Panda Bears for the small children. Jimmy wonders about the ethics of what they are planning to do; Cartman says 4th graders don't even know what ethics mean. Cartman talks with Token about whitening up his speech, to help with the ratings. "Sexy Action School News" debuts with features on the new uniforms for the Raisins girls and the "Panda Bear Madness Minute." Jimmy comments "this isn't the news, this is a travesty."

Jimmy has a real news story to report, but Cartman and the others aren't interested, they'd rather jeopardize their integrity. After all, their ratings are up over Craig's old show; unfortunately they are behind his new show "Close-Up Animals With a Wide-Angle Lens Wearing Hats." As a result their advisor tells them they are going to get a grade of F if they don't concentrate on improving the ratings. The boys need to come up with a killer new idea for a show, but they can't come up with any. Kyle tells them that they should do what the 6th graders are doing, and that is to drink a lot of cough medicine so they can begin seeing things in their head. They decide this would be a great way to generate ideas and they go to the drug store where they buy a lot of different cough medicine on the advice of the pharmacist. They go back, take their medicine and begin taking their respective trips. While they are on the cough medicine they discover that even Craig's new show is "cool."

The boys recover from their trips and find they haven't come up with any ideas. Stan realizes why Craig's show gets good ratings; half the school is high on cough medicine. The Sexy Action News Team puts together a special report on the cough medicine abuse problem. They even turn in the pharmacist who helped them out. The boy's newscast is a success, they get a 22 share and Craig's show has been cancelled. The boys are approved for twenty-seven new shows and when they can't come up with any new ideas, they decide to bail.

Basically yes, but DXM powder is DXM, cough medicine contains DXM HBr. So you dont have the bromide in the DXM powder molecule and some like that for high plateau doses or daily users. So they use the powder and some thinks its a cleaner spiritual experience, but who knows. Just a minor point. For a sake of occasional user no difference to worry about.
 
I acualy happend to see that episode a while back, they were hooked on cough syrup and were robo tripping like mad in the living room and in skool when i saw it.

Yeah everyone was robotripping, I was cracking up, but seriously thats based on real life. Whole schools have been said to have kids taking it. And its been called an epidemic. I dont think any teenagers or younger in their formative years should think about taking this, but they are. Big shoplifting problem with it. Just preferred and easier to get than alcohol.

You want DXM only cough syrup or pills. Now they are also making things that look/feel like Listerine breath strips but deliver a dose of DXM instead. Bet that strips hit you QUICK.

Also, if you want to extend the trip, you can get a certain brand of DXM syrup that is time release and lasts 8-12 hours. I cant remember the brand but it sticks out from the others.

Yup delsym, but its hard to get going with it since the plastic formula doesnt allow for quick absorption so hard to get trippping on it. So I think best use to extend the relaxing period after you come down by combining it in the beginning with a fast acting DXM like robo. You'll experience the same trip, but then the afterglow will be better and longer. The delsym will slowly release DXM over time on a slow burn to fuel the afterglow. Ive had the best experience with it that way. But is expensive like 11$ for the big bottle so really its up to you. You can get the same effect by just taking a small amount of DXM every hour to fuel it so its by far cheaper to get DXM powder online 10g/40$ and do it that way. But really all of this should be done later after youve become experienced. Keeping it simple in the beginning is always the best. I wouldnt recommend delsym for a first time use, or use at all b/c of the cost, unless money isnt an issue. If youre in a pinch then buy it,but better to plan ahead and have powder to accomplish a longer experience. Or after you peak just drink more robo, you usually wont peak again itll just make you more mellow. Ive done it all ways so doesnt really matter. There some who think that the polystirate formula shouldnt be used at all as there certain rare reactions to it, I forget right now. :p

Its about about 8$ for an 8oz bottle and I think about 4-5$ for a 4 oz tussin, cheaper if you go with a generic store brand with the same ingredient listing DXM only.
I preferred to trip alone and youre not going to have any problems on such a low dose. Only at high dose does one might react to an imaginary world and stimuli. Level 1 plateau youre fine. Youre just going to feel a lil mellow, still way in control of your surroundings.

Go with the small bottle. I think I've seen generic for less than $3. Drink one 4 oz bottle by yourself and you'll be fine. That what I did my 1st time.

Also Delsym is not a good choice for first timers since in the off chance you have a bad reaction you don't want it in your system 4 12 hours.

You got robo itch from the powder...interesting. Of course I only got it really noticeable but once, but it was my back and kept having to get up and rub my back on the corner of a doorway. I had the robowalk then too LOL! I love it too. Yeah trying to control a robot body but youre fumbling with the controls.

I've read all of the posts to this thread and what I can't figure out is what 'learning' is actually going on. DXM sounds like a less disabling version of ketamine. On ketamine I felt like a free floating consciousness on a conveyor belt that traveled through some fantasy world and I kept seeing little robots pulling levers and hard at work doing something. I would also periodically travel to what seemed like ancient buildings and would just be stuck facing the walls at different angles until they morphed to another scene. Once I became an entity composed of nothing, but colors and was pulled apart and scattered by some force. There was always a strange, industrial rhythym in the background. I didn't learn anything other than ketamine can truly alter my perception to th point of removing me from reality. How does DXM differ?
 
my and one of my buddys did it along time ago, we washed 3 yellow valiums down with a 4oz bottle each.....tripped balls but never again

Naw, it doesnt change things, also there have been posts after your bump, lets just not post on it so it fades. Too much info. on this subject for this chat board really, better for another forum even though its a legal substance and I used it for appetite suppressant and also the best way Ive ever used for losing weight. This prolly isnt the most appropriate place to discuss it. Seems that the CC board is going through some changes with content recently. Not sure if this is a cool topic to have here.
