Anyone ever had test replacement? Or dealt with an endocrinologist? Need some advice.

If anyone has had test replacement or dealt with an endocrinologist I would love to hear from you, preferably those who are based in England as the yankee mentality is way different from the Brits (no offence yanks). I'm seeing a private endocrinologist in June. I've already seen one from the NHS, he recommended test injections but only after I see him again in August and if t levels are still low. I'm seeing a private one to get things going quicker, but I'm concerned he may have a different attitude and not give me any test injections.

What's the script? Do I have a right to have test injections? Or am I at his mercy? Surely by seeing a private guy I have more authority in what I want as I'm paying him £200!! I'm a little worried.

My t levels have been low for 10 months and this has been documented.

In the US here, but I am on test replacement. Not sure how it work over the pond but here you are at the mercy of the doctor. You have to have a perscription for the testosterone. I have one for androgel. Shots are perscribed as well, but since this summer when androgel was FDA approved it is becoming the therapy of choice. I underwent three blood test and an MRI on my pituitary gland before I was perscribed test. I have frequent blood test now as well. Bascically if T levels are low and no other chronic problems persists you will get test replacement of some form, be it injections, patches, or the gel. As you know test is illegal here so unless the doctor perscribes it to you, you can't just claim you levels are low and make him give it to you. An endocrinologist handles the dutties here as well so you have to be refered most of the time by a general physician.
