Sorry this is completly off topic but I need some help.

Hey yall,

Im going to be getting a pitbull tomorrow as a christmas gift from my dad. It is an 8 week old puppy right now and I have tried to google some information on it but I can't find anything. It has a rednose, and a brownish/redish coat. Are these dogs really agressive? Also---the main thing I need to find out is how tall do these guys grow up to be? like up to 2 feet tall? If you have any other info on it you think I may need then please do post. I have never owned a dog before. Thanks

i used to have a pitbull. they're not really aggressive unless you make them. now.. they are a lil more aggressive than other dogs, than say a lab, but you can control that.. and they're not so bad as to attack people like they make out on tv.

yeah, well, Detroit is full of pit bulls and people that aren't trained or knowledgable about them shouldn't have them; some are very sweet animals but it's a trait they possess, aggression, and there are places around that don't allow them..........plus, don't let the insurance company find out you have one, they will raise your premium.

agreed. a pitbull isn't a very good first pet. go w/ something sweet but not stupid --> LAB :)

their rep is jus so bad, i have a Rott and people literally flee from him even though he's never even growled at anyone, and b4 you go and buy a dog from a breeder or pet shop, check out the animal shelter, lotta great dogs there who deserve a good home.
