I've got a buddy who's a harbor master/captain down here in So Cal, and he marries people at sea for free. they have to be willing to hang out on the boat and get tanked though.

sad to say our wedding cost a lot of money. over 25 k which is a lot for me. I wanted a destination wedding and so did my wife. we could have done that much cheaper and my wife and I wanted the rest of the money to put a down payment on house. well her family wanted a big wedding and were flipping the bill so i said whatever do what you want. all i wanted to do that day was have sex with there daughter so i thought it was silly. it was a beautiful wedding though

my wife and i spent about 10-grand, including our honeymoon (paradise island)...we (i.e., she) did a lot of the work ourselves which probably helped...of course, that was 20 years ago

10 grand is still a lot to spend on a wedding. 20 years ago, wow, that's when that much money would actually buy you something.

My friend and his wife got married in Lake Tahoe and it was about 8k. They had a smaller wedding only like 60 people

we had about 150 people, a great caterer and a shitload of booze (KNOW THY AUDIENCE!!)...plus, the 10 grand included the honeymoon.

56$ was the cost of mine. In alaska, just needed a few wittnesses and someone to play the minister role. Thats how it should be done. Weddings are cool if you want to spend the money, I am just not one of those people.
