Any RUSH fans out there?

I'd just like to know if there are any fellow RUSH fans out there. That is a band that is far and away my favorite. I've followed them since I was 11. Has anybody seen them for their 30th year tour? Cheers.

Priests of the temple of syrinx reporting for duty!

Rush is awesome.

From Zero, try to get Fly by Night, that's the rush I like, proto-metal, up all night with acid kinda stuff. . . . Even 2112 starts to soften a little much for me.

Why does Rush's stage set look like a laundromat?

ha ha ha! Knowing Rush, it's probably some elaborate metaphor lost to everyone but them. Them thinking, "It's about recycling and purification . . . " The audience saying, "Dude am I too stoned? Or does the set really look like a laundromat?"

Glad to see there are a few of you out there. Majutsu, I'm with you on the metaphor theory. Those guys can be pretty abstract sometimes.

I love Rush,
I saw them this summer in Montreal on the 30th tour. The deal with the washing machines is that geddy no longer uses amps, and uses direct input instead. SO they needed something to fill up the stage, they also have rush shirts in them and during the show they will throw the shirts out to the audience once they are dry.

What do you mean direct input? Directly into the sound system of the venue? But he must have a monitor somehow . . . Anyway, I never would have guessed they were filled with Rush shirts!! I want one!

svt-troy,

I agree with you 100%. Neil Peart is the greatest drummer in the world. Actually, not only is he the greatest drummer in the world but he is also the greatest drummer that has ever lived. Obviously I'm a fan. Cheers to all the RUSH fans out there.

Rush is one of the greatest bands out there. Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are the best "power" prog trio out there. The albums Fly by Night, 2112, Hemispheres, Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves[/ITest for Echoo, and Vapor Trails are great albums. There are albums are thought provoking, introspective and very "funky" and "heavy." It does take some time to get used to Geddy's vocals, but they are great none the less.
