i'd love to hear about your training routine... diet

what do you think about running on a low carb diet...

Actually running hinderes me the most in my training. Its my biggest downfall. Everyone knows you will never pack on size running 12 miles a week. Hell I was running 25 miles a week. I will say that in the winter I only cardio 2 x week.
Yes I tried a low carb diet when running about 15 miles a week and it is impossible. I would run at 6am and only eat like 2 meals w/ carbs. by early afternoon the cravings were so bad I felt like I would die.
I have finally realized that if I want to make progress I will need to drop my running , even when cutting. I try to keep it under 12 miles a week now. It makes it alot easier when u are on cycle though.

any other runners out there...?

will running really slim someone down...? lets say
someone does 6 or 7 miles every day...?

I run 4-5 miles 6 days a week, and lift 6 days a week. I used to eat a low carb diet and live on energy pills. In that time I packed on a little mass, but very slowly. Now I pretty much eat like a horse and still live on energy pills, but I've put on a lot of mass in this time. It's possible to put on the mass on a low carb diet but you've got to be really dedicated. I just wish I could make myself quit running but I freak out if I can't see my abs and I love to eat too much. To answer your question though, yes running can really trim you down. I've gone from 215 all fat, to 170 all muscle around 7-8% body fat. And that's eating everything I want, tons and tons of deserts! If you want anymore info just ask.:fro:

Hey bro i use to run around 5-8miles a day...i use to run the mile in highschool and a few seasons in college...i was cut to shit those years but i was 165pounds too...i couldnt put on any weight what so ever...i took a cycle of winny when i got to college and got alot faster and stronger and still nothing...when i finallly stopped track and stopped running everyday i started to keep my weight...im at 198 right now and around 7or8%bf..when i was running 5-8miles i would take in all the carbs in the world..you will burn it off very quickly...and if you work out aswell you will get very cut...i suggest if you plan on running that kind of distance drink a carbo force b4 you run this may reduce the amount of muscle you lose...g
